What's with the Leather Concessionaires tag? Why the old name? Is this a new thing they're doing? Both of my Westeds have the black and gold tag.

Great looking jacket, but I do admit (judging from your pics) it looks nearly identical to my regular Raiders jacket in prewashed goatskin I bought 2 years ago. I've ordered that shrunken lamb hero jacket as well. Haven't got it yet. I was hoping for something more similar to what we see on their website pics. Time will tell...

Nick, that jacket fits you well! Love that hide as well. Great color.
Man, I love everything about the new Wested's, except for one thing.
I don't care for the collars. The shape is perfect, but, they look too big to me.

I wish I could get better pictures taken, because these aren't really showing what I see. But if you look at my original pictures from when I first got it you will notice that the leather is mostly smooth. Now after wetting it a few times the leather is starting to gain some character. There are striations developing and it is beginning to have the pebbly look that my Nowak in shrunken lamb has.   And I haven't even had this jacket for very long. I wonder what it will look like in a month? |

It is slightly thicker than Todds. To me it is a perfect jacket to wear on the warm summer nights. Even my Nowak Raiders in shrunken lamb is too heavy for that.

What would you choose. a wested hero or uswing legend? And what leather do you think is best?

Ohhh... that is difficult! I have owned both, and both are excellent jackets. The only problem I have had with the US Wings Legend is the sizing... I just didn't fit into their sizes. But they have some excellent leathers to choose from. And great construction. The best leather, in my opinion, would be the shrunken lamb, followed by the steerhide. The steerhide is some pretty tough stuff, but smooth enough to be a dress jacket if needed.
I like the Wested Hero better just because it is more custom and therefore fits me better. The shrunken lamb leather on mine is kind of thin... which I like. What I really like about the Hero is that it is a jacket that just BEGS to be on an adventure! I don't know how else to explain it.
Either way, you can't go wrong with either choice.

I have a size issue too. I'm 5'10 230lbs an have a 48 1/2 chest and 18 1/4 arms. When i order for my chest size,they think i'm 6''4 or something. My todds jacket had to be taylored to fit me decent. Thanks for the help on this and the hat i ordered too.
