Well, after a decent couple of days, I decided to order my Christy's Adventurer today Went for the "Sable" colour, as that seems to be the de riguer "Indy" colour, and will be attempting to put a Raider's bash into it when it arrives Obviously, this being my first ever fedora (or even proper hat!), it may not turn out quite as we all expect, but I'll give it a damned good go! Pics (before and after) will be up ASAP

Yeah, tell us what you think about the hat and service, and a load of photos too eh? I've been looking at Christys for my next hat perhaps, (That or a Henry, and the Henry will probably win it...Or maybe a JP? If I have the money...LOL...)..So I'd be interested in your thoughts and in seeing how well it holds the bash.. Good luck!

Nice stargate! Indeed tell us what you think of it when it arrives. Watch John Penman's tutorial on how to bash a Raiders hat. It should help. It's fun bashing hats.

I like....... Very much.......
It'd be easier to see what kind of bash you can get from it, but just the crest inside would be a good thing to wear in Tokyo I think... Classy and subtle.. Good combination.. Looks good! Would love to see more pictures when you can mate!

Are those dots on the bow where it is tacked down?

Thanks for the replies guys Indianabugs - yes, unfortunately those "dots" are where the ribbon is tacked on, and it looks a bit messy close-up. However, it's not really noticeable to people stood outside "personal space", and is more than made up for in the quality of the rest of the hat The fur felt is gorgeously soft, and it's a lovely dark brown colour, with the ribbon being an even darker (almost black) brown - as it should be! I'll try to get pics of it tomorrow, as it looks now post-bash, so that you can see it more in its full-glory. And now that I've just secured a job, this will be worn on a regular basis whilst out-and-about, as I'll be based in the countryside and it seems like the ideal place to wear a lovely hat
