I just received this jacket yesterday. As stated in the title it is a brand new...US WINGS STRIATED LAMB [USA MADE]. Please feel free to pick apart the screen inaccuracies. But all of that put aside. This is the jacket I have been searching for. Well Made, Nice Texture and Looks pretty much like an Indiana Jones JacketMerry Christmas, John PS: Yes Ken, I bought another jacket. ;D

Very nice Jacket! The texture looks really nice. I know the lining isn't SA but I still like it a lot.

I had considered getting one of the imported U.S. Wings Hero versions of the striated lambskin that had the two inside pockets before they were discontinued and I saw the Gibson & Barnes on eBay. Still, I like the striated texture of the jacket. The lining also looks snazzy. Is that how their nylon lining usually looks like for U.S. made jackets, or is this something special? Also, how does the new jacket compare to this jacket you posted about way back when?

Great looking jacket. I've had an A2 type jacket in similar looking heavy lambskin for years and love it. That heavy lamb is really hard to find. This one should age well and look better and better as the years pass. The texture and coloring is perfect.

Well, I have to say that I'm not completely surprised to find out either. lol The only thing that matters to me is that you bought something you like and are happy with it once it arrives. I'm glad to see that both are the case here.... and I think it's a cool looking jacket to top it off. The color is also good IMO (not too milk chocolate or too dark), and the leather's texture is interesting without that "trying too hard to look well worn" thing going on. U.S. Wings leather jackets always seem to look thicker and more rugged than others... though I think it's the thicker seams/edging that gives that impression. Overall, I like it and offer my congrats on getting another nice jacket! Ken

Thanks for the compliments. I'll try to address the questions and statements here. Havana: I agree 100%. The Heavy Lamb is a great hide and exactly what I have been searching for. I am looking forward to wearing this for many years and distressing it via life experiences. Had the Older US Wings/Cooper Jacket that I got as a generous gift from Prof. Wex been just a little bit larger, I would not have purchased this one. Which leads into the question, "How is this different from that Older Jacket.". Well it's new. ;D Seriously though, I THINK that this is the same leather as the older one. Only it has not gone through the rain and Dryer treatment. The cut is different. This is a very slim and flattering cut compared to the old one. However if you have any extra girth around your equator, you may want a larger size. And Ken, This IS IT. If I ever buy another leather jacket, please come and shoot me. Just make sure you use my gun not your Canon. Cheers, John

That's one lovely looking jacket there GMann The leather looks pretty heavy duty, is it actually a thicker hide, or does it just look like it? Either way, it looks bomb-proof Nice job.

Thanks Buck. Stargate: It is a thicker hide than most Lambskin from other companies [ It seems to be the regular thickness for the Lamb Wings uses most of the time] However it is a very pliable hide. Soft and stetchy. Cheers, John

Cheers, John This takes me back to a few months ago when I tried on a pair (each) of Cowhide and Goatskin Indy-Style gloves, and was shocked at the differences. I see you've found that green hats look good with dark brown jackets, just as I have done many times in the past. That is, every time I put on my Indy Gear. ;D Steven

These two pictures in particular seem to show off how beautiful in action that particular leather is.

Thanks, G-Mann. If I ever outgrow this hat, I'll have another one made almost just like it, except in a bigger size and without a grosgrain sweatband. I'll wear the green hat with short-sleeves (like I do very often currently) and the real Indy hat with long sleeves.
