So, I just put in my order for a gunbelt and a strap at Wade Egan's. Well, I e-mailed him, at least.
I wrote Marc Kitter through his web site about the shirt, but I still haven't heard from him... Isn't he the one to get a hold of? Otherwise I'll just try the Magnoli one, as intended.
By the way, I've been in contact with Wested since before I came in here, but their customer service seems really bad. I've been writing with this lady called Gemma, well, actually just got two e-mails from her on august 3rd, and haven't heard from her since... That, combined with the positive words about Todd's jacket, means that I'll probably get my jacket at Todd's.
More by the way, I've taken a shine to Magnoli's holster. It looks really good compared to the movie. I mean, the AB looks very good, but the Magnoli just looks much more SA. The price is just pretty steep. I don't know the price for the AB, so I can't really compare... I might just "settle" with Todd's.

Save up! You can get that Magnoli Holster if you save up. If your goal is accuracy, and there's something out of your price range, then save up, and you'll eventually get it.

You're so right. But I want it now! ;D
About the accuracy, I think I'll give in to the groove-trend. *sigh* I wish I knew for sure which was right.
Also, from the images it seem WPG's and Magnoli's shirts are pretty color accurate. Of course it's pretty hard to see on pictures when they're by them selves. I'd really like to see them in a comparison like the 4-shirt shoot-out sticky.

How's this: just get a Todd's holster to tide you over until you make enough for a Magnoli, or whatever you're going to get? I'm going to remain a non-groove guy. I will get some (actually all) of Todd's stuff (which do have the grooves ), but I may eventually replace them with grooveless straps and holsters from Wade Egan and Magnoli. Steven

I actually have a fake leather holster I could use in the mean time, so it's not a bad idea. It just means my finished outfit won't be ready for halloween. But hey, my hat isn't exactly SA either...!
I have been going back and forth on those grooves like you wouldn't believe. Just now I actually wrote Wade and told him I'd like my stuff groove-less. Hope it's in time...! My reasoning is, if it's "proved" either way, it's easier to add grooves then to remove them...!

Good call. It's a good thing people on the street don't care like we do. They won't notice if you add the grooves. And there's always next Halloween. Steven

This should be the e-mail for an AB shirt: kim@flugel.dk Grooves or no grooves, they're both absolutely fine. Really as long as you're happy with your gear, that's all that matters. And just to lay out another option, you could ask Wade to attach the super whipholder to your belt, though not SA, it works much better.

Yeah, I agree. The only aesthetic difference between the Raiders whipholder and the Super Whipholder is that there's another loop on the Super Whipholder. So at the price of one tiny detail, you get greater support. Steven

Indeed. More functionality. I just received my super whipholder in the mail, so I'll post pictures and a review of it as soon as I can. I gotta say, it's great!!

I actually mentioned the super whip holder in my mail. But I'm pretty sure my last edit of the order was with the regular one. How big is the sliding problem?

I just wrote Wade Egan regarding the holster. Awaiting response.
I'd like some help / confirmation with regards to the jacket. I understand that Todd's has a great price and a good quality. But I'd like some confirmation before I buy it that it's also more accurate than both Wested and US Wings. Which of the three would be the best Raiders choice? Or maybe it's a fourth I don't know about?

The sliding problem is VERY big, trust me. After taking some some steps it'll start sliding down, eventually dragging on the ground. You might be right CJ because Wade supplies some leather items to Magnoli, and the holster might be one of them. I could say that the upcoming US Wings Raiders jacket would be the best Raiders jacket, but it'll cost more than Todd's and Wested's. I find nothing wrong with Todd's jacket, it's a great jacket. But the Wings might be one to consider.

Well, since we don't know for sure (And boy, am I the one to know about not knowing for sure!) whether the U.S. Wings is going to be super-accurate or even when it'll come out, I'd go with the Todd's. Todd is going to make/has already made a recent run with the right length. It's cheap, it's in the U.S., and if you get the jacket from him, you can get the Web Belt from him for sure! So Todd's may seem the best road for you, considering the circumstances. We have, like, what? Two months before October? That seems like plenty of time to assemble a set of Indy Gear. The U.S. Wings may come out before then, and it may not. I'd err on the side of caution. Steven

As far as I know, the Wings jacket will be pretty accurate. It'll come out soon, but maybe not as soon as you'd like it to. Also keep in mind that it'll only be limited edition. It might not be in your budget, but a Nowak is much more (but the quality and toughness of the jacket is as great as one could be!).
Todd's is likely more in your budget, so that's a good choice.
Decisions, decisions . . . .

Thanks Noah, I've written Wade about getting a super holder in stead. Hope I'm not too late...! About the Wings jacket, I've seen (when there were more jackets on the Indy list, where'd they go by the way?) that they were about $400, which is okay for me. Especially if it'll slide through customs here, which unfortunately is not very likely. PJ, I hear you. I'm already getting boots from Todd's, so I'm definitely getting a web belt there while I'm at it. That it's US isn't really a selling point for me, since I live in europe, so I have to consider extra shipping charges and custom, which is $27 + 25% of the product price including shipping. So UK Wested is pretty interesting to me, but it's not more important than getting the most accurate one. Also, two months do seem like a long time, but most of my US purchases take a month to just get here, so I have to figure in that too. I am considering, though, going jacketless for this halloween so I can have a look at the US Wings. It's just such a "vital" piece of the outfit. I've also written with my fellow dane, Kim, about AB shirts. They are out of larges for a while, so I'm going over to him to try out a medium and an xl to see if either fit. We're practically neighbors.

Alright, I really gotta take a geography class. ;D Denmark sounds like a state to me. As for the jacketless Indy, I wonder if that's even possible. I live in Arizona, which is basically a desert, in the hottest city in the state. Last Halloween, I was Indy, and I wore my sort-of-Indy jacket with it because it was FREEZING at my church parking lot, which was where we did the trick-or-treating. Is it warmer than freezing at a Denmark Halloween? Steven

I.ve made a few trips this summer to the high desert here in the Peoples Republic of California where it's been anywhere from 85-95 degrees and wearing my Todd light weight jacket haven't been to bad

Haha, yes apparently you do, PJ. And it ain't the capitol of Sweden either. Denmark gets pretty cold, but usually not until december/january. We barely get snow any more. It's really too bad. The end of october shouldn't be too bad without a jacket, especially since I expect the partying to go on indoors. CJ, we definitely don't get those temperatures here. ;D But it's good to know.

85-95? Wow, that's moderate! In Phoenix, the norm's around 90-100F outside. Any updates, Max? Steven

I wish we had that kind of weather. Actual summers and winters, in stead of just warmish spring and coldish fall. I just had another look at some jacket. I've been driving myself crazy doing this. But I've observed that the in at least one point both the current US Wings are definitely incorrect. The back piece lines up completely wrong with the shoulder/top back stitching. Have a look at these pics (the ones of the back) compared to these from wings. The stitching in the movie hits practically on top of each other, where Wings is at least an inch off. So those are out, at least until their new one arrives. That leaves Todd's and Wested. I then took a closer look at the pockets, also using the pics I linked to. From these it looks like Todd's pocket flaps are a bit too pointy. Wested's authentic lamb also looks too pointy in it's stock photo, but on the "live" photo it looks good. On Wested's washed goat they look a bit too droopy. So that's a three-way draw of fail. ;D And there's no pics of the back of the washed goat, but I assume it's the same as the lamb. The pockets of the Wested Authentic lamb actually look precise. But again there's no picture of the back. And the color is too light. However, under custom jackets you can choose dark lambskin. Alternatively one could just do as they did for the movie, and manually darken and distress the original lambskin. If I ever hear back from Emma I'll ask her... Pretty poor service from Wested so far... I'll go back to my think box. That customized ROLA jacket sure is tempting.

Where I live it's usually in the 80's, but it gets super humid! It's crazy. If you can go without a jacket for now, that may be good, because the US Wings Raiders jacket is going to be a good one! If $400 dollars is ok with you, then this one definitely will be.

"It's not the heat, it's the humidity" as they say. ;D
You keep tempting me with that jacket. I just don't know if I can get myself to show up without the jacket.
If Gemma responds within the next two week, and if it can be custom made and finish in time I think I'll go for the custom Wested jacket. I read in the thread I linked to that they can make it completely to spec, pocket sizes and all. If she doesn't respond within that time frame I'll go for Todd's, and hope it shows up in time.
Either way, I'll still take a look at the Wings jacket when it comes out. I can always sell which ever jacket I get...!

Heat scorches, humidity melts. That sounds like a good plan of action, Max. Just don't run outatime. Steven
