Dancing in a circle with Care Bears, hmm? Yes, very interesting. I can see this opening the franchise up to a whole new market (girls under 4 years old), and that spells money! Great idea, yes... let's roll with it right now! Ken

I can see that outcome happening. He'll be evil at first.....maybe even cause the origin of either Venom or The Sandman and then have an attack of guilt over what he's been doing and save Peter at the end and then die. I'm leaning more towards Harry creating Venom as a way to cause Peter trouble and then the thing gets out of control and either ends up with Brock or Harry hires Brock to use it to destroy Peter. My gut just tells me it's a bio-suit or weapon that Oscorp comes up with. If you look at all 3 Superman films and then watch the two Spidey films they kind of shadow each other. I'm guessing the third films main theme will be Peter's inner struggle with his darker side which Venom will represent. Just like Supes going evil and the fighting himself in 3. As far as the comic book is concerned he's been totally screwed up and I don't see how their going to fix this mess without doing a total reboot of the entire Marvel Universe. The big reveal isn't the end either........I'm waiting for Mj and Aunt May to pay for this in some way. Either one of them will die or both. What I would like to know is.....At this point what reason does Peter have to put on the mask? Everyone knows he's Spidey. The whole point of the costume was to hide his I.D!! This whole thing is a perfect example of people creatively being backed into a corner and not being talented enough to work themselves out of it Harry, great post! I agree completely.

Since Peter is shown with a camera at the funeral, it might just be a Bugle assignment that Raimi will use as a plot device.

[glow=red,2,300]ALABAMA'S MOVED POST[/glow]I'm guessing its Harry's funeral (not you Pitfall ) Sony has already said that Gwen will live, so that leaves MJ, The Cap, and Aunt May. Since Movie-MJ is really Comic-Gwen (because of the backwards canon) she should be the one to go in order to have that horrible sense of loss that really helped make the old comics so great; the death of his true love and wife-to-be (eventually) at the hands of his greatest enemy. Man, I wish they had the balls to do this to MJ ; The son of the Goblin acccomplishing what his father could not. SWEET! But they will probably just have her "go away" get Pete and Gwen together and more care bear dancing ensues. ... BAMA, This was the only way to move it. G-MANN

Thanks G! I realized it too late. Sorry 'bout the mess. EDIT: Steve, you make a good point. Raimi loves to mislead us.

Since there are many Spidey Fans here I just thought I would post this.
I have an entire run of Ultimate Spider-Man 1-95 that I am thinking of selling fairly cheap. All are in VF to NM condition.
If anyone is interested send me a PM.
Cheers, G-MANN

I've got all of those or I would take you up on the offer. I'm probably missing some recent ones because I haven't been working though. As far as the movie goes if they kill off MJ in the book before the movie hits the theaters then I'd be willing to bet she's going to die in the film. Sometimes the book guys and the movie guys know in advance what each other are planning and incorporate it into their own projects just to keep things even.

Well, since my "schedule" is free and open at the moment I might try and go to the very first preview screening for Superman Returns. This teaser sounds cool and I want to see it on the big screen. Gave me chills just reading it.

WOW!!!!! I just watched the teaser for this about 5 times in a row. So far it looks like they've got Venom close to the books as far as the origin goes. Brock is in the church where Peter leaves the suit. Looks like Harry has some sort of makeshift Goblin gear and glider on. There is no full mask just what looks to be a green visor of some sort......almost looks like night vision goggles. I went threw the teaser frame by frame. Going to go see Superman Returns right now.

If this is how Harry's Goblin is going to look then I am going to be MAJORLY disappointed. Otherwise, pretty cool teaser-trailer. I I hope to see "Returns" this weekend. Did you guys get the teaser on your screening ... Harry, Blues?

Yes, and the place went nuts. Its the first time I've seen people applaud at a trailer. Harry's outfit in these shots might be a work in progress type of thing. It might be that he doesn't get fully into gear til the end. Right now it looks fine to me. The more recent issues of Spidey had those mutant kids of Gwen and Norman attacking Spidey in outfits similar to this. Maybe Harry isn't trying to emulate his father in this. It could be he's more angery at Peter for taking Mj than anything else. We will just have to wait and see. I'm really excited about this.

Wow, great teaser. They did a great job with the scene of Peter trying to rip off the black suit. I could feel the frustration and fear.
And about Harry's Goblin gear, Peter's first costume didn't look much better. One size can't fit all with body armor anyway. And the Goblin's old look was so static in that the mouth never moved that it might be better another way anyhow.

Ok..... I downloaded the teaser onto my computer because I wanted to see it again. I started going through the scenes bit by bit again and I ran across this shot. If Harry's the new Green Goblin in the film then who is throwing this Pumpkin bomb at him? Right after this shot the bomb goes off in his face!

Well, I'm hearing rumors now that the shot I posted above could be either from a dream sequence or real and "Black Spidey" is throwing the bomb back in his face......kind of like a reversal of the scene at the end of Spidey 1 where the Harry's dad tossed the bomb at Spidey. It's hard to say what's real and what isn't. The black symbiote suit in the books messed with Peter's mind.....made him darker. And then there's these pics I just found. Could be from Pete's dreams or a flashback. Because of these pics rumors are going around the Flint Marko aka Sandman was the carjackers partner and that he was the one that shot Uncle Ben. My theory on these pics....their a flashback. Why was that guy robbing the wrestling manager anyway? I think he was doing it to payoff Marko. He owes Sandy money and Marko is there to collect when Uncle Ben gets in the way. Marko shoots and kills Uncle Ben and the other guy uses that as an opportunity to escape by stealing Uncle Ben's car...... Here's the link to the on the set pics. www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=gls====197373&nbc1=1

Harry,
I'm betting/hoping this is another "tripping" scene with Harry and Daddy in The Lair and that its Dafoe back again as Norman, who throws the bomb in anger, trying to "persuade" him to exact revenge on Spidey.
One other cool, but unlikely possibility, is its a confrontation with Peter "posessed" by the symbiote who tries to kill Harry.

Norman was brought back in the books after it was revealed that the "Goblin Formula" had a healing factor similar to Wolverine's.
It could be a dream or it could really be Norman back from the dead.........OR it's someone who knows about Osborn's stuff and kills Harry..........This person then becomes the Hobgoblin!

Rezzing Spidey here.
I only watched Spiderman 2 on television not too long ago. I don't think I've seen anyone post the obvious Indy connection from that film with regards to Alfred Molina's being Dr. Octopus and Satipo.
