well here is the Star Wars thread I was told to start a few times. Feel free to discuss anything about our favorite Adventure movie!... in space that is Talk about the upcoming TV series, new toys, art, or costumes. If you have a SW related question feel free to PM me or leave a comment, i should be able to help. Well for news in my SW costuming life, I have just come across as Bespin Luke ESB costume with all the pieces for $300. This is my next costume in progress. Ive always wanted a costume to carry my converted mauser with, and now i will. Im hoping to wear this costume for the Origional Trilogy DVD release on Sept 12th. Ill post pics when i get them.

Oh, man that was one of my favorite outfits Luke wore throughout the entire first trilogy. The Jedi Knight one comes in a close second and then after that it would have to be the outfit he wore at the end of "A New Hope" when he and Han got their medals. I look forward to seeing the pics of the costume. Besides the Indy gear the only other "authentic" type of costume I've ever tried to do was Neo from the Matrix Reloaded. I should put that on again and take a pic and post it here. I've always wanted to put together a Jedi Knight outfit like Obi Wan's in the new trilogy. I wouldn't even know where to start and to be honest I'm more interested in continuing my accumulation of Indy stuff. Thanks for starting this. It's nice to have a SW thread now to discuss stuff in.

Congrats on the Luke Bespin costume. Can't wait to see pics.
That was one of my favorites in the trilogy as well. For me, the duel with Vader in the carbon freezing chamber with all the gas clouds is still my favorite duel.

Great looking Matrix Reloaded coat! I too, look forward to see the Bespin outfit Luke wore. It had the same style to it that Han's outfit from Star Wars did. Note: That's Star Wars the original.... Episode III, though not the third made. It was actually the first made, and was originally only titled Star Wars. Later, the sub-title was added, which confused some, but not nearly as much as having an Episode I, II, & III added years later.... only to have the first in that series of prequels to the original series, be referred to as the first Star Wars film. Which of course, it wasn't in the actual creation order, but, was now indeed first in the chronological order of the Star Wars story, as seen on screen, but not including the story's timeline laid out in the novels, of which there are over a hundred. Holt, that's a great looking jacket. The one I bought looks like it's a lighter material than yours and the nice thing about it is when I wear it on a windy day it flows behind me when I walk. I hardly wear it though because when I do and have it buttoned up I look like a priest. ;D I'll post some pics of mine here soon. I need to dig it out of the closet. Blues, reading your post just gave me a headache! ;D ;D

That's funny.... you basically pestered them to death, so they gave you the stuff to get you to stop calling! ;D
I'm glad it worked, and the jacket looks great.

well i just finalized my deal for the gear, and i also hope to be getting a SW fan club Luke bespin jacket. They were made in 97 i think but werent completly accurate so people dont use them alot i hear. To me, so far i dont see issues, so ill get one incase i need it. Here are some pics of the gear from the guy im buying from. everythings not perfect, but it will work great for an end of duel version of luke. Id like to make the gear very dirty and beat up ripped a bit maybe too. But only if i can get another set for a cleaner look. Lukes gear gets pretty beat to S#@t at the end of the fight. But the beat in look with some makeup on my eye will look cool, and should cover up anything people might quesiton.

Other than the boots looking a little bit to shiny I'd say that's one heck of a costume. The belt and holster set are really what sell the whole look. I always got the impression that Luke's Bespin boots were really soft looking.....almost like suede or something. Can't wait to see what you do with the Bespin gear Indakin.

The guy in Singapore where you got the start of your Anakin costume from now does a Luke, Han Solo and a Galactica Tunic. All a bit rough and ready, their Jedi stuff looks a bit better.

Yeah, out of the old trilogy I'd like to own either Luke's Bespin outfit, Han's outfit from A New Hope or Han's Empire Strikes back outfit.
Out of the new ones it would have to be Obi Wan's Jedi Knight outfit.

simons ebay stuff isnt half bad. His Han costume seems to be the most accurate thing he makes actually. I own his anakin boots, but they ahve gone through a major facelift. His other gear is close enough, but not accurate in most cases, but he has to sacrafice accuracy for $$$

Are you adding an extra Photoshop glow to the lightsaber or is that all from the prop itself?

The cool thing about the MR Force FX lightsabers is that they show up looking like the real thing when you take video footage of them. I took a few just with my Nokia phone and both mine looked brilliant!

Before I die I hope someone here on Earth figures out a way to make a real Lightsaber. I think owning a real one of those would be the coolest thing on the planet.
I have messed with the MR Force FX Lighsabers and they are very cool. The price is a little high but I think their worth it.
Apparently the Mace Windu one is very rare.
I had a chance to mess with the Darth Vader one. It was a display model and it was all messed up from everyone under the sun playing with it. It was still cool though.

the price is completely worth it pitfall. They are a great product. I have 2 anakins, ESB luke, and a double bladed darth maul (won at costume contest ) The mace isnt sooo rare, it was around for a while. Its a very comfortable saber to duel with. Yea the FX sabers look exactly like the movie versions on camera phones, im guessing due to the crappy pixel and lighting quality. White core with a blue glow. And as far as a real lightsaber.... if its made in your time Harry, I doubt they will be available like guns for purchase. It would be a highly $$$ item probably in scientific testing still.
