the price is completely worth it pitfall. They are a great product. I have 2 anakins, ESB luke, and a double bladed darth maul (won at costume contest ) The mace isnt sooo rare, it was around for a while. Its a very comfortable saber to duel with. So are they pretty sturdy to duel with? The impression I got from the one at the store the "blade" seemed kind of fragile. I would think with the right amount of force (no pun intended) that thing would shatter or break in half. And as far as a real lightsaber.... if its made in your time Harry, I doubt they will be available like guns for purchase. It would be a highly $$$ item probably in scientific testing still. Well, I can dream can't I! ;D Who knows by then maybe they'll have laser guns and both will be for sale to the general public. All I know is the first person that invents one for real and provides it at a cheap price to the mass market is going to be one rich SOB! ;D

After seeing your Bespin outfit in the "distressed jacket" thread I started skimming the net for SW gear and I found this site. Granted the boots cost more than your whole outfit and I don't think Luke's were that dark. I thought I'd still post the link. They sell other movie boots as well encase anyone wants to take a look. www.motorcowboy.com/product/SKYW1I'm thinking maybe we should start another section here for other movie costume gear. I know there are a few of us that are interested in more than just Indy Gear.

Pitfall thanks for the MC info, ive known about them for a while. They make the best anakin close enough boot right now, but its just too $$$ to make it worth it for something thats close but not accurate. Same with the bespin boot, looks great to me, too dark for the one they ahve pictured, but if it was cheaper id buy a pair. ok i finished the distressing to my bespin luke costume. Here are 2 shots from Best Buy on for the DVD release on tuesday. very fun to wear new gear. So now i ahve luke, anakin, and indy to wear during my halloween weekend at work.

Indakin, I've said it before. You look so much like Anakin, it's unreal! Magnificent SW gear! Indiana Holt, you make a pretty incredible Neo. Gotta love that coat!

Bryan, Sweet job dressing up that outfit! It looks much better, and was a heck of a steal at that price. Even though it's probably hot to wear, it looks really cool on you too. Very nice work! Ken

Here are 2 shots from Best Buy on for the DVD release on tuesday. very fun to wear new gear. So now i ahve luke, anakin, and indy to wear during my halloween weekend at work. I guess it's only fitting that not only do you make an excellent Anakin you make a excellent Luke as well considering they were both father and son. You did one helluva job distressing that outfit. That's the best Luke Bespin costume I've seen. The boots really turned out great as well. I didn't know if you knew of that other site or not so that's why I posted it. Yes, that stuff is really pricey but they do seem to have some cool stuff. After seeing the new jacket by Wested I was tempted to try to piece together a Rocketeer outfit because they have boots that would work for that as well. I just don't have the money for that and I've got a lot of money and time devoted to Indy at the moment. You do need to get some pics up of you as Indy as well.

i knowwwwww, i just dont look indy as much. Plus i want to get my gear beat in more before i go crazy with indy pics. My hair is dam long so it pokes out some. Im gonna try and get my stuff distressed nicely for Halloween. Still need to order the fullers earth. Im about to start distressing my jacket. My Fed Deluxe just gets softer all the time too.

Yeah, the hats fit and look better when you have a shorter hair cut. A word of warning about the Fullers Earth. I noticed over at Indy Gear someone was having problems getting it out of their hat after leaving it on there for a long period of time. If your going to use it I wouldn't let it sit on the hat to long if you plan on wearing for other reasons besides Indy. I've left it on my hat for a while now mainly because I planned on taking other pics with it and I'm not concerned with wearing it for other occasions. I want the hat to look like it's been off on an adventure.

Only the NATURAL color is recommended. The others can leave a stain.

I really like your Luke gear, the original pictures looked ok but you've really brought them to like with the dirtying up.
By the way has anyone seen the DVD releases of the original non-SE'd trilogy yet? Any comments? (Sorry I don't even know if they have been released yet! D'oh).

I agree about the FX changes in the SW series. The updates really helped to merge to two trilogies together. By adding certain vehicles, extending footage to include additional skylines and such, it helped to bridge some of the gaps between the two series. If it wasn't for the Greedo shooting first thing..... everything would be perfect! Ken

Whoa !! Just "discovered" that thread today ! Very impressive pics indeed ! Reffering to the Anakin/saber pic : I own 3 "FX" lightsabers and my guess is that some effect is added. Otherwise, to get such a glow, the pic would have had to be taken in a darker lighting and more light reflection would be seen on the face of "Indakin". But the prop could have been modified, so I could be wrong.

Holy crap Steve... you're absolutely right! I totally forgot about the song and dance affair with Si Snoodles or whatever his name was. Thanks for reminding me of that truly "memorable" performance! If it wasn't for all the hokey creature moments that George insists on throwing in, the whole series would have been even better, IMO. Ken

yea the extra stuff can sometimes change the origional feel that the movies had for some parts. But overall the changes definitely bennifit the film. I dont mind the new jabba song, but i dont loveee it. I did like the old version alot too, and i espcially liked the old ewok song for the video end. But i see why he did the newer version. Its a give and take.

Cooler and cooler pics ! Amazing details, not just the outfit but you also got the bruises and the "wet sweathy hair" look...or maybe that wasn't on purpose. Can't wait to see the "edited in a film frame" versions.
