I've been looking at the new pic kind of on and off all day. It's much better than the other pics in this thread. It's really makes me more excited for this movie. I mean...he looks pretty scary.

Wow... even watching the trailer being filmed in the theater at a weird angle by some guy is cool! ;D Thanks for posting this one Belloq! I'm looking forward to seeing the web released version now too. Let's see.. it's dark, scary, full of action, has great Bat vehicles, and looks to continue the approach of "Batman Begins". Looks like a winner to me. My favorite line has to be "Pip Pip"! 2008 is going to be another great year for movies! Ken

I can't wait for this movie. Its gonna be creepy watching it with Heath Ledger (Just like Brandon Lee with the Crow). So it'll be exciting to watch yet kinda sad knowing its his last performance.

Just to let everyone know, I cannot wait for The Dark Knight!! I have been more interested in Superman and Batman movies and related media, lately. So, my visits to the Lounge aren't as frequent. But I assure everyone I am still very much a die hard Indy Fan. -Josh

'Dark Knight' Speeding Towards Friday: Selling, Selling, Selling ...90% Sold Outwww.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/dark-knight-sold-out-sold-out-sold-out/MovieTickets.com says that, four days prior to its release, Warner Bros' Batman: The Dark Knight has sold out 700 performances in North America and is outselling 3 of MovieTickets.com’s Top 10 Performing Films of All-Time. To date, the pic has more than 3-times as many advance tickets as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, more than 2-times as many as Spider-Man 3 and almost 2-times as many as Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at the same point in the sales cycle. This lends fuel to predictions that the latest Batman 152-minute installment can make $130+ million for the upcoming 3-day weekend opening because of round-the-clock showings.
In a recent MovieTickets.com survey, moviegoers aware of The Dark Knight expressed "wannasee" during its opening weekend in all four age groups polled: 24 & Under – 98%, 25 to 34 – 92%, 35 to 44 – 78%, 45 to 59 – 66%. In addition, the survey found that 86% of males and 76% of females polled said they intend to see it during its opening weekend.
Meanwhile Fandango (which sells tickets to more than 15,000 theater screens) reports that Warner Bros' The Dark Knight has grabbed a whopping 90% of all ticket sales for the upcoming weekend show. That's incredible considering it was still only Tuesday. COO Rick Butler claims fan anticipation is the highest since Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. "Moviegoer curiosity about the late Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker is helping fuel additional ticket sales, outside of the traditional action movie and Batman fan base."Ken

You know, with all the hype around this movie, I think I'm going to avoid it for about a month. Just to let the water quit boiling. Any body with me on this?

We'll be using some more free tickets (redeeming General Mills movie coupons from grocery items we buy ), and heading out to see The Dark Knight on maybe Sunday or Monday night. I've been looking forward to this one for quite a while as well. Ken

I might do the same, of course with the prices of movies, and having children, it gets harder and harder. Might be another one for NextFlix and the big screen at home

Wow, so this is what the superheroes section looks like! ;D I know I don't often venture into this little corner of the Lounge, mainly because I've never really been interested in superheroes. Batman, on the other hand, has always interested me, mainly because he's NOT a superhero, but rather a guy in a batsuit with a LOT of money. ;D I never was a big reader of comic books, but I've liked Batman ever since the '89 movie with Keaton and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. I thought "Batman Returns" was pretty good as well, but after the Burton/Keaton combo left the series, I lost interest. Now, just TONIGHT, I finally saw "Batman Begins" (on FX) and let me say I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm not always that fond of franchises that pull the ol' "reboot" and start everything from square one, but I think it worked out quite well in Batman Begins, and now I'm psyched to go check out "The Dark Knight".
