Someone over at COW bought one but I can't remember who......maybe it was Oak. Anyway, whoever it was ended up repainting it and it looked pretty good.....at least I thought it did.
I've been looking for one myself and I'm not sure what I'll finally decide to do. I know I don't want to spend over $100 on one though.
I kind of feel the same way about all of the props. I'd rather spend as little as possible and touch them up myself rather than spend a fortune on stuff like that because they are basically going to just sit there anyway either for display or the occasional photo shoot.
I still want to get the crystal skull Blues bought a while ago. That's a cool prop and it was only $25 plus tax.
I guess in my mind the only things I can justify spending a lot of money on are things like the jacket, hat, whip and gun.

That's the one I've been looking at Stefana. How is it close-up? Does it seem pretty solid?

Pretty solid. The add said "cast in stone and painted gold" I guess it's resin, it weights about 5 lbs. From up close the detail is not so great as the idol shows "stretch marks" and the offspring's face is distorted. (due to damaged mold I was told) But, in the movie, the thing is supposed to be...what?... a thousand year old at least? And made by an ancient tribe ? So it can't be perfect, and the "flaws" just add to the ancient look...I guess.

I'm not to obsessive when it comes to this stuff. My only major concern with the cheaper versions has been how well they hold up as far as durability goes. I'm sure none of them were meant to be tossed around but I don't want one that's really fragile either. I'm sure if I didn't care for the color I could always sand it and paint it as well. This definitely helps Stefana. Thanks.
