Here's an idea for a new Indy prop..... Shrunken Heads! Check these out: www.salangome.com/shrunken_head.aspJust think, you could add to your collection, the shrunken head of Luampou or some other Indy adversary you create. You would be the envy of the community, and the only kid of the block with a real shrunken human head on your shelf! Okay, they are made from animal hides, but are still pretty creepy Any takers? Ken

Oh, man....
Even if I wasn't married and had kids I still don't think I could own one of those. They look pretty realistic and those things have always creeped me out. ;D
It's a cool idea though and it's nice to see you are continuing to search for other props outside of the films.
I need to look around myself. I've been spending most of my free time on here replying to just about everything. ;D

WOW! These are done so well. They look very real! Great find, RB! *I'm not going to even ask how you stumbled on this one. Yeah, these are freaky. Freaky to the point where you'd expect the eyes to open at any moment. Heebie-Jeebie factor: High.

They are creepy aren't they? Believe it or not, I just Googled "Shrunken Heads" and this was one of the first results in the paid listings section. Not much "Head Hunting" on this one, I must admit! Actually, John and I were talking about shrunken heads for some reason this afternoon, and it made me think about looking them up. I don't remember how or why we were talking about them either. PH, I can completely picture one of them opening an eye, ripping against the strain of the stitching, and giving a blood curdling scream! Maybe it could tell fortunes or something, now that would be a cool use of the prop in a video. Ken

I think I mentioned having Stinky's head shrunk. ;D ( Our Cat ) At least that was part of the conversation. ;D A pair of them together would make a nice Salt & Pepper shaker set. Cheers, G-MANN

;D ;D And play it off as if nothing is out of place with what just happened. LOL! So we've all had the same visual as to what would really be freaky about it. The eyes open and the ghastly, haunting screech that came from it when it saw you. But........wouldn't it make an interesting animated calendar/alarm-clock that way? Eyes pop open and the thing says, "HEY! It's 5:30! You need to GET UP!" or even, "It's 9:00pm, time for bed." As a weight loss aid? Put it in the fridge so that it yells, NOOOOOOO FOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!

The alarm goes off, and it's the screaming shrunken head on your nightstand. After the horrifying scream, it sings... "Daylight come and me wanna go home" ;D Truly a Tim Burton meets Boris Karloff sort of gift. Ken

Another twist on that idea could be that the "Head" itself is not the relic Indy is after but it acts as a key to finding the relic. Kind of like the headpiece to the Staff of RA. Only this thing would awaken and give Indy an important clue to where the treasure is.......OR it could act like a compass as well.

Yeah, this sort of talking, story telling, fortune telling, or treasure guiding prop would be right at home in the "Pirates" or "Harry Potter" series too. I think it would work in the right Indy story.

Yeah, I didn't even think about Pirates or Harry either. Good call on that...... Actually, I think it would work really well in the "Pirates Universe". I could just see ole Capt. Jack talking to one.

It might even be kept in a mysterious box, because it doesn't like the bright light. Possibly the head of a great fortune teller with a cool backstory. It could lead Indy to what he seeks, but may even have a hidden agenda.... like freeing his spirit from the head instead. Lots of possibilities as to where this could go, but I think they are all very cool. Ken

Something like this you'd have to have in the workroom. For Photoshop you just need a pic of it. That goes back to the whole "photoshopped myself in my backyard" thing, otherwise, doesn't it?

I think a pic of one is as close as I want to be to it. I don't think I could have it staring at me in my office. Although, having it displayed in a room with a black light might be cool.

Heh. I don't know if that should stay up here. No, scratch that. I KNOW it shouldn't stay up here. But the joke was just "there". I'll be going back to yank it. (Could you pull your quote as well, please?) The shrunken head would very cool on a desk or on display in an "Expedition Room" or something. You know, this shrunken head prop thing got me to thinking about a movie I saw on TV when I was younger. Freaked the crap out of me. "Trilogy of Terror." This was the doll used in one of the stories. If I had a choice between looking at a shrunken head or this thing on my desk, I'd have to say the shrunken head would be easier to stare at.

Fixed it. I think I saw that film too. That pic looks really familiar. While were on the subject. Two other movie creatures that freaked me out when I was younger were this little troll creature that tried to suck the life out of kid in the movie Cat's Eye and the "gremlin" on the wing of the plane in the movie version of the Twilight Zone. That one still gives me goosebumps when I see it.
