Just a bit....you might want to shrink them down slightly.
Nice looking gear. Who made your whip?

Thanks The whip is a simple whip ordered in a magazine for horses. It cost me $20 So it's not a very great one.

Elodie, Your gear looks great, and I especially like your Wested! The color and relaxed look of is really nice! Your bags are broken in nicely too, which is something I really need to do myself. That HJ has a nice color to it, in those pics as well. I had no idea they even sold knives like that, very cool! Ken

Your bags are broken in nicely too, which is something I really need to do myself. If you bag is an original, I've found a run through the washing machine in the cool/gentle cycle will get rid of any storage smell and also soften it up and highlight any edges or creases, giving it a instant lived in look. Don't do this with a WPG replica, it will shrink horribly and unevenly. I've done this to 2 original 1940's bags to no I'll effect.

KT,
I have a replica bag from Todd's Costumes, so I'm not sure if the washing will help or hurt. Todd has a method listed on his site, for weathering them, but I haven't taken the time to try it yet. Maybe a good hand washing will do the trick too.
Thanks for the help!

Ken-
I 've got one of Todd's bags as well and used his tutorial on his site with the bleach, and kitchen cleanser. Works fairly well. I didn't do a whole lot on my bag just because I can't stand the smell of bleach. But now it does look a little more used now.

It's cheaper and better quality, it is - as they say, a no brainer! You really can tell the difference when you have one in your hands, the WPG/Todds isn't quite the right material, it's too thin.

Thanks
My bags are originals. Haversack Mark VII. But there are some little differences between them...
They smell bad in the begin but with time it's better. I never wash them.
