Sometimes you are just lucky. Yesterday evening, on my way home from a meeting with my local reenactment group, I went by a small antique store. In the window I found these three small figures, which I instantly recognised as copies of some of the famous Xi'an terracotta warriors found, in the thousands, near the tomb of China's first emperor Qin Shihuang - the figures that served as inspiration for the statutes guarding Nurhachi's tomb in the Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb game. The figures are around 11,5 cm. high (9,5 cm. for the knealing one), they are made of cast terracotta and are painted to give an aged apperance. The figures in front of my Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb game: I find these figures very appealing and I am happy to have them as a part of my small (but ever growing) Indiana Jones prop replica collection. Here is what Indy Magnoli writes about the figures; www.indyprops.com/pp-xian.htm/Jakob

Thanks guys.
I'ts funny; on this forum, with 19 members, I get two replies - on COW, a forum with 1310 members, my thread about these figures has been compleatly ignored by everyone.
It kind of makes me wonder...

Jakob,
It could just be that with so many topics and threads on COW things are missed more often and not a lack of interest.
Best Wishes, John

Probably so - I just sometimes get the feeling that posts that are not written by someone are often strangely overlooked. But, thats not at all unusual at large forums. It was more a compliment to this site than it was critisism against COW. On-line communities work in funny ways /Jakob

Jakob, Could you post your Museum pictures here too. I thought they were fascinating. Cheers, John Museum pictures? I am not sure as to which pictures you are referring. Do you mean the pictures of me wearing my medieval gear? If not, I could easily bring my digi-cam to the Museum tomorrow and grab a few snapshots of the Illerup Ådal exhibit, the rune-stone hall and the famous Grauballe man exhibit (though I wont take pictures of the body itself). /Jakob

G-MANN; sorry that I haven't posted any pictures yet - I have been by my parents' farm helping out rebuilding one of the greenhouses. I will have some pictures ready sometime next week.

Those are some cool looking little warriors you have there. My brother in law just loaned me that X-Box game to play, so I haven't been exposed to them yet.
I have been reading some of the novels by Max MCoy, which are really good.

The game is best on a console - I played it on a PC. The stearing in the PC version is unfortunally rather bugged and you often miss jumps or run off cliffs because the stearing is so unprecise and laggy. I have heard that the game is much funnier and easier on a console with a gamepad.
But, the story and atmosphere in the game makes it worth playing - even on a PC.

I really like them, how much did they set you back, and why does everybody have these when I haven't seen them at all? Cheers Kim

Now that you mention the challenge coins, I'm beginning to get anxious. BTW. one warrior will be fine, the kneeling one is my favorite.

They are probably stuck in customs - sometimes it seems that the danish custom-officers take a ceartin pride in being incredibly slow Maybe we should gear up and go "motivate" them to work faster I'll look for a knealing warrior for you then. /Jakob

I just found these two at a local flea-market: The standing one is about 21 cm. high and the knealing one is about 17,5 cm. high. These two are not in as good shape as the smaller ones, but they are a lot more true to the originals. /Jakob
