I think the rules and regulations of what can be shipped where; what qualifies as a replica and what qualifies as a firearm, who can order one, who can't, and how much trouble Todd potentially faces in terms of responsibility for shipping these to the wrong person or the wrong state, is just too much of a hassle to spend time on it. A lot of people were really eager to see these followed through but can't blame him for not wanting the headache of taking heat just because he shipped one to a kid who lied about their age and wanted to see if the gun would make it into their state. The kid doesn't get in trouble, Todd's does. You can thank legislation and clever lawyers of present day for these not moving forward.
Ultimately, it does suck cause these would have been the best alty solution replicas out there!
