Yo yo! My Todd's Raiders Deluxe holster arrived last week and looked very pretty but felt really stiff! Now I've come to realise that there is definitely something up with either the dye job or the laquer because the leather lightens up and wrinkles every time I open and close the flap. Also if you scratch the flap the laquer flakes and the leather is dark underneath (as it should be.) I don't know if i'm making sense but am I destroying the leather or has it just had a shotty coating. In any sense, what would you guys do?
G-Mann I know you have a deluxe holster. Have you experienced anything like this?

My Todd's does wrinkle up a little when it is open but that is what my Webley does too so I am guessing that it is standard for the type of leather used for holsters. It is softening up with age. No problems at all with the dye job. No flaking of any kind. I am totally happy with mine.
Cheers, G-MANN

Todd's pretty cool with working with his customers if they are unhappy with their purchase. I would drop him an email. 'Blues

Been thinking about it for the past half hour or so as I continue rubbing off the flakey bits and I might just keep it as is. I gotten this really cool distressed look going with it now! What's more I haven't damaged the leather, so if I ever desperately need it shiny again, I should be able to do that myself with a bit of shoe polish. All's well that ends well, I guess.
