I went on a business trip up to Manchester yesterday and went by train. Normally I go to work by car and don't really see many people! I suspect I may look like a weird starey person in these situations... really must get out more! LOL
Well long story short, I ended up doing the usual leather jacket spotting. So there was this guy's jacket, nice leather... quite thick (might be horse), weird cargo pockets lower corners are cut at 45° bevels, button through flaps (Guesses G1). Guy gets up to leave, back has bi-swing pleats and a belt along the back... (definately a G1).
I'm not sure I like it, seems a little over complicated. It wasn't helped by the fact that it was too big for the fellow and it was waaaaay too new.
Anyone have one that fits to show?

Sorry, not pics, but I have an issue G-1. I don't care much for the fur collar (bad memories of topgun) but I absolutely love nearly everyother aspect of the jacket. The fit is the typical slim military fit, but the bi-swing and gussets make it the most comfortable leather jacket I've ever worn. (NO ride up) My jacket is made of a really tough goatskin. It has a fairly heavy, but uniform grain and even seems to have a waxy feel to it.
I personally want an ANJ-3. I'm sure you've heard me mention it before. Its basically the front of a A-2 (storm flap, snap pockets) and the back of a G-1. (gussets and bi-swing back) It seems like the perfect combo to me.

If you really want that Top Gun look, don't forget to push the sleeves up to the elbow.
