I have an Indy close-enough gun, instead of the real thing. It's almost all metal, and has a nice weight to it as well. The shells are removable, and of course... it actually fires airesoft pellets, if desired. It's an HFC / HG-131C Revolver Pistol, 1/1 Scale, 6mm BB Gas Model Gun - Chrome model, repainted and distressed by myself. It was originally chrome, but I painted and distressed it myself. I also removed the extra handle grip. Here it is, brand new: Here are a couple of shots, after the work was completed: Just sharing, for those looking for an alternative gun. Though I bought mine from G-Mann, they are available many places online. I almost bought it here: truedgesecurity.com/GASpages.php for $79.99, before finding out that John had an extra one he would sell me for less. It's great having friends, isn't it? Ken Ken

I just saw this thread..... Blues, I've always liked your gun. Even though I want to get a real one someday right now that's waaaay out of my price range so I've been looking at a good substitute like yours. In my search for a gun like yours I've found several sites. Here is a link to one of them. This gun is black already but I do believe it is the same gun as yours. I'm trying to pool together the cash to buy it so I have a gun for my collection and gear pics. Just thinking of all the cool shots I could do makes me drool! hahahaah.... ;D Here's the link incase anyone else is interested. www.airsoftezone.com/.sc/ms/dd/Gas%20Gun/141/Revolver%20A1%20Non-BlowBack%20Gas%20Gun

Pitfall, That looks like the same model to me, and don't forget that the extra grip piece comes off easily. I was about to buy a black model of the same gun I have now. I ran the link by G-Mann first, to see if it was the same model he had. It turns out that he bought one in chrome and one in black already, and didn't want the chrome one. So, he made me an extra generous offer, pricewise, and I bought it. It was a super snap to paint anyway, and I already knew I was going to distress it. My long winded point is, I was going to buy it in black as well, and that is a better price than I saw it for back then. If you manage to pool together the funds, that will make an excellent gun for you. Ken

I'm hoping I can get one shortly. For me not having a "gun" to go along with me gear has been about as bad as not having a whip. Once I get the gun then I will finally feel like my gear is complete. Plsu, it will be great to be able to put something in my holster! By the way I like what you've done with the sig.........looks good. I may try something like that myself.

Don't forget to distress it with a little bit of dull silver paint around the edges and a small amount of real gun oil adds an authentic touch.

Man, that gun of yours looks real. I think it helped that you got a chrome one and painted over it with black......that way when you distressed it the chrome shows through. Very cool!

I'm starting to like this Airsoft version for an alternate Indy more and more. (Considering the actual useability time for a gun, these really look good!) Nice job on that gun, RB.

Thanks much guys! I'm sorry that I accidently passed over the replies here... I was mainly wanting to show anyone interested, just how nice these guns look. G-Mann and Winstonwolf have the same model, and possibly others.
It may not be an exact model of Indy's Raider's gun... but it is really close, and has a nice weight to it too. I was wondering if using the air cartridges with it, but no shots.. would give off enough vapor or smoke to be seen on camera. I'm imagining it to be a very small amount, but it might be worth trying just to see. That would add alot to the on screen realism, I think.

You could always try and see. If your taking still shots the easiest way to get the gun vapor might be the good ole Photoshop way....... "When in doubt Photoshop your way out" is my motto! ;D

Yeah, I was thinking that if it did produce anything visible.... that might good on video. When the weather cools down during the fall, I plan to kick the action video filming up a notch. Ken

Just give the Kool-Aid pitcher from those old commercials, the finger, then run down a hill! You'll have your own bright red boulder behind you in no time...
"Oh yeah!!!! ;D

Ken, that is one great looking gun! I need some kind of black paint to cover over the silver on my fake also (although mine is not as fancy as yours).
