I thought I would post two of my favorite pieces of gear. This is my 2nd Model Hand Ejector. This particular model was made for the British during WWI. According to a letter from S&W that came with it it shiped from the factory on March 29, 1916. I originally intended to have it converted to Indy specs, but I couldn't bring myself to cut a piece of history. This is my brand new S&W Model 25 Mountain Gun. Although not perfect, its quite similar to Indy revolver. This is the one that fills my holstewr when I'm on an adventure.

j, Remind never to get you mad Nice revolvers. I am glad you did not chop that S&W just to make it screen accurate. It is magnificent the way it is. At the rate that Indy lost his guns he most likely had one like yours anyway. Cheers, John

May I ask, how much a mint condition SW HE like that goes for (the vintage one)? - Reason I'm asking, is that if bought as a collectors piece, there's a chance to own one in Germany legally...
Thanks,
Marc

Marc, I got my vintage HE for $400. However, that was a great price. The reason I got such a deal on it was that it had been re-blued (refinished). This always lowers the price since the gun is no longer in "original" condition. I would say a mint condition one would go for $1000 or more.

I love those Moutain Guns. I had one for about 10 years and eventually traded it. I really regret that one.

Thanks guys! I thought about trying to find a set of more "Indyish" grips but the ones on it are very comfortable so I thought I'd leave good enough alone. Nice to see you around Havana!

Seeing beautiful guns like these, it really saddens me that it is almost impossible to obtain a permission to own handguns in Denmark I especially like the 2. model hand ejector - I'm glad that you decided against haveing it cut down - it would have been a great shame. Before i took up WMA (Western Martial Arts) I did a lot of target shooting, at the local shooter's club where my parents live - my favourite handgun has always been the revolver, I really like the simplicity of the revolver, compared to a semi-automatic. Hmmm.... maybe I should take up shooting again - I will have to be an active member of a shooter's club for two years in order to be able to obtain permission to buy and own even a cal. 22. revolver Luckily, for me, it is somewhat easier (though not at all uncomplicated) to obtain permission to buy, own and use bladed weapons. /Jakob
