New here and looking for a fedora

Hello all, I found this forum researching the Indiana Jones Fedora, been doing tons of reading, lots of good info here,
after much reading I am strongly considering the Cadilac, a Penman, his Last Crusade hat looks awesome. I just dont know if I can justify spending that much money on a hat I am gonna wear fishing. the wife said I could have a fedora, but I could only wear it when I go fishing and stuff (she she isnt going with me).

I recently bought a Dorfman pacific wool felt fedora.  And I felt lucky to even get that, because spending over $250 for a fur felt one was quite simply not going to happen without some long term animosity LOL

She also refuses to be seen in public with me wearing it!

It's got a bit of a cowboy look to it, but for the price I was quite pleased with it.

As much as I too would love to own a Penman, I couldn't justify the expense. I ended up going with a Harrison Open Crown Fedora from Miller Hats and have been quote pleased with it. It's $180.
