Hello all,
I re-watched Last Crusade a couple of weeks ago and for some reason was impressed by the jacket and decided I needed one like that. I soon discovered there is an overwhelming number of models and leather finishes, and the expertise of some forum members is just beyond imagination which is why I'm asking you for help in choosing mine.
I think I'll buy from Wested as the prices are reasonable and they seem to be good quality. I don't much care about screen accuracy; durability, fit etc. are higher on my priority ladder.
Fit: I have a rather muscular torso and tapered waist, and don't want a baggy jacket.
Leather: In addition to durability (a decade or more), I'd like to be able to wear it year-round in moderately warm climates (London summer, Greek spring etc). I've been thinking about Wested's Antique Lambtouch. Does anybody have any experience with it?
Thank you.

I've had a Wested Raiders jacket in lamb skin for about 8 years. Great jacket, but quite snug and light. Not much good for the UK winter, so I've recently bought the Wested Last Crusade in cowhide. It's a looser fit than my Raiders lamb, and a good deal heavier which allows for layering during the chillier months. It's great. Here's a couple of comparison photos...

I recently bought a few lambtouch cowhide jackets, a Raiders and a Last Crusade. Very nice skin. As the name would suggets, it is a light skin, like lamb, but definitely with a less soft, more rugged feel. It has alot of great detail and drapes nicely. It has a brownish/greyish color, and a somewhat distressed look to it. I treated my jackets with Pecards lotion and it gave the jacket a bit more of a solid but matted dark brown color and really brought out alot of detail in the jacket! I will see if I can post some photos. Please keep in mind that the lambtouch cowhide has a very lightweight feel to it, almost like a windbreaker jacket, but it is quite rugged.
