Hello all,
I've seen on the WPG site that they've sold a few of their new Indy jackets. However, its been weeks since they were first offered and hardly any pics anywhere regarding someone actually wearing their new Indy jacket from WPG. We've seen little pics here and there, but none of anybody actually 'wearing' it outside in natural sunlight. Its like a big secret to 'wear' the new jacket for new pics it seems at other Indy sites. Any possible buyers here who aren't afraid to wear theirs outside for potential buyers to view?

I'd be curious too. I am turned off by the jacket though for the lack of handwarmer pockets. It's a baffling omission.

Recently inquired What Price Glory about the handwarmer pockets situation with their "Indiana Jones" jacket. The jacket does indeed side entry handwarmer pockets and they changed the description of the jacket on their website.

I ordered this jacket recently and just received it about a week ago. It was shipped from UAE via DHL. My suggestion; skip this jacket. The leather seems nice, sort of a soft goatskin, but altogether a poor imitation with quite a few innacuracies. I will try to post some photos tomorrow. The jacket does have side hand warmers, but the slot is so thin it makes slipping your hands in and out very difficult. Probably my biggest gripe is the side straps, they really botched them. The straps are maybe a quarter of an inch or a half an inch wide where standard size for the straps should be about an inch wide. Worse, the twin rectangular strap buckles are standard size, which really makes the straps look ridiculous.

For me, personally, this jacket may be ideal for me since I'm looking for an Indy jacket that is very close, but doesn't have to be 100% exact. The only thing that is holding me back more-or-less is if its too light brown. I tend to like my Indy jackets closer to the dark side (no pun to Star Wars), but if the WPG jacket is a little too light brown, hopefully some Pecards Leather Cream will help to darken it up...

Yeah, I've owned a few Westeds,'Gibson/Barnes, etc. but, I've sold them through the years. I used to be 'really' into screen-accuracy and all, but just got away from all that. If it fits good, looks good, and is anything BUT lambskin - I'm interested. Seeing how this new WPG jacket is of goatskin and, in my opinion, 'very close enough,' I'm still very much interested in the WPG jacket. Also, if its in the 'authentic' brown rather than the darker brown, that's still totally okay. I just can't find any pics of anyone actually wearing their WPG, especially outside, lol.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this thread. I am trying to figure out how to post my photos. I am using photobucket, so please let me know if the links work. I didn't get any outside photos taken yet, but the photos I took outline some of the problems I had with the jacket that I mentioned above. The jacket does have some good points, the leather seems decent and I like the buttons on the pockets. However, some of the stitching seems to be a bit shoddy, and there were a few minor but noticeable defected areas, especially around one of the pockets.

Appreciate the photos! Sad to say the jacket's pretty underwhelming. The uneven sidestraps are inexcusable. The bunching of the lining out of the sleeves happens in my Todd's sometimes too-- I just push it back in-- not a big deal. But in this price range, the Todd's seems to be the clear winner. I wonder how the leather quality stacks up between the two though.

'Thank you' for taking the time to snap the many pics to share! To be honest, I'm actually diggin' this jacket (no pun intended to archaeologists, lol). But, I still like it on account that its goatskin over Todd's lambskin. If Todd would offer something other than lambskin, such as cow, lambstouch cow, etc., I'd be all over it. But given the circumstances and in weighing the pros cons - I'd take the WPG. Despite its slight inaccuracies, its goatskin and that weighs out over Todd's screen-accurate 'lambskin' for me any day of the week. Besides, I'm just looking for a 'close enough' beater.
As a side note, if anyone happens to have a WPG Indy jacket in either a medium or large that they'd like to sell, just let me know as I'm looking to buy an Indy jacket about mid-June.
