Last year I ordered a KOTCS fedora from Penman Hats and was completely satisfied. (An interesting twist was that it was delivered on Christmas Eve, after I had given up on a Pre-Christmas delivery, it definitely was my favorite package to open.) Back to the point though is that I am considering making another purchase. I plan on a grey hat this time, so I thought of the train hat. My question is does anyone have a picture(s) that compare the regular brown KOTCS hat to the Train Fedora? (for brim width, crown height, ect?)

Hi Jerry Check out my thread in this section, 'The Big Train', for a few pics of my Penman Train fedora in beaver felt. I own nine fedora hats, but this is by far the best. Someday I want to buy a Raiders hat from John to replace the one I now have. The brim is 2 3/4" X 2 1/2", and the open crown height is 5 3/4". A great hat.......... Gary

Sorry it took so long for me to reply, but thank you for the response Gary.
I do have another question though. Does anyone have a shot of the seaplane and train hats side-by-side for color comparison?

the hero hat from CS is 2 3/4 x 2 1/2 and the Train is 2 7/8 x 2 5/8. The train hat is a 1/4 inch bigger in the crown and of course a different block shape. try my site www.penmanhats.com and www.facebook.com/penmanhats for photos

Forgive me John, I've remeasured from the brim edge to the sweat band, and my initial figures were wrong. The measurement varies a little when measuring top side or bottom side of brim.
