Here is my Relic Hunter, "Cairo," main hero jacket that I received this week.
My only concern is that I think the sleeves are too short.

Sweet looking jacket. Sleeves are good, beautiful fit. Is it lambskin?

Yeah. The leather is their authentic brown, vegetable tanned, striated lambskin. To me, it looks to be the most SA I have ever seen with all the details in all the correct locations. The leather is thin, but at the same time feels very substantial and strong. It is also the most lightweight and softest leather I have ever handled.

Now all that's left is to frequent some of Cairo's sleaziest bars and throw some hands around. I know of a little place in Casa Blanca where............ Again, great jacket. Worthy of some serious adventures.

I finally found a good deal on a Bill Kelso jacket (HF Size) and am lovin' it. I don't know if it's a Cairo jacket or not, but the markings all look the same as the ones pictured here.
Anyway, the first thing I thought is how luxurious the leather feels. Second thing was, “Wow, this has considerable weight, heft, feel—in a good way). The third was how brown it is in direct sunlight and how dark it gets in shadow. My Final thought was that it feels bigger than a 40, though it doesn't look any bigger.
I'm having trouble posting pictures right now, so if nothing else, I’ll post pics this Halloween with it on.

That's great news, Congrats!
Here is what makes the Cairo jacket distinguishable from the Hawaii version:
•Shorter collar width •More gently scalloped pocket flaps •Slightly rounded collar tips •Rounded storm flap (collar stand).

I don't think mine's cairo, but I still can't tell. Pix below compared to my 2007 Wested ROTLA Special: Cheers, Indyfan71

Bad news. I put on a coat of Pecards (clear) and the lustrous brown disappeared. I'm very sad and wasn't expecting that.

Bad news. I put on a coat of Pecards (clear) and the lustrous brown disappeared. I'm very sad and wasn't expecting that. Man... that sucks. Once it dries though (which I'm sure it has by now), try applying some standard 'leather conditioner', found in most shoe and leather goods shops. Then buff it with a soft cloth/shammy. Unlike the Pecard's Leather Dressing, I believe that most of the conditioner-type products will give leather a buff-able shine. Should bring it right back. Of course... try buffing it back with a shammy before... that may be all you need do. Also, after looking at your pics of the two jackets side-by-side, I think the Wested I got recently (my first, from eBay, and only $150!) is the same as yours. The pocket-flaps are the give-away. Now I KNOW I got a great deal!

I love the busted faded almost GREY colour of the Wested. The other looks too 'posh' and luxurious for a rugged adventurer. I see the brown as how Indy's jacket looked before an adventure and the Wested AFTER ....

Just got another Relic Hunter, Cairo version and I wanted to share it with all of you. I ordered this one marginally larger in size than the last in order to achieve a looser fit and allow for more draping. Besides that small detail, this jacket was made from their new and improved batch of striated lambskin, which is a step above the old version in several ways. The leather is incredibly thinner than before and is therefore consequently lighter in weight, making it very comfortable and an extreme pleasure to wear. (Not to mention even more Screen Acurrate, at least to me.) The new striated lamb is also a little more textured than before, giving the jacket a lot more character with a color that looks to be just a shade darker than the previous. But of course, that is a batch-to-batch variance. Also, Andy at Bill Kelso has once again provided me with a very pleasant and professional experience and it is always a pleasure doing business with them.

Kudos bdghsi11. This is one of the best examples of what an Indy jacket should epitomize that I have seen in a long while. It virtually screams of heroic exploits and high adventure. That leather looks simply incredible. On the first jacket you were concerned about the sleeves being a little on the short side, but I see in this one you have corrected that. Did you order up one full size? I wonder if you would be so kind as to post a few shots of the jacket's interior. Again, congratulations, terrific jacket.

Did you order up one full size? I wonder if you would be so kind as to post a few shots of the jacket's interior. Again, congratulations, terrific jacket. Thank you for the nice comment. With the last jacket, my main concern was primarily with the sleeve length being just a tad short, but also thought that it didn't quite look right on me for a Raiders jacket. So since I didn't want to keep a jacket that I wasn't going to wear too often, I sold it off and applied the amount I got from it towards the funding of the new jacket. I am little sad about not having it anymore because I'm the sort of person that becomes sentimentally attached to things when I buy them, but believe that it was well worth it for this new striated lambskin. It is essentially the same with the exception of the new one being much thinner, lighter and draping a whole lot better for it. The lining of the jacket is all cotton body and sleeves of which I'll have photos of when I arrive home, today. Old Jacket Measurements: ----------------------------- Chest: 18 1/2 across Waist: 16 1/2 across Back: 21 1/2 Shoulders: 17 1/2 Sleeves: 23 Pockets: 5 3/8 x 6 /12 New Jacket Measurements: ------------------------------ Chest: 19 Waist: 18 Back: 22 Shoulders: 17 3/4 Sleeves: 23 1/4 Pockets: 5 3/4 x 7

Very nice Relic Hunter! I'm currently waiting on one myself. After several Westeds, a Todds custom, a US Wings, a Magnoli and a Steele and Jones I'm hoping this will be THE ONE!
