Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a Wested Raiders Jacket in the pre-distressed hide. I'm wondering if anyone out there can post a picture of their Wested pre-distressed hide Raiders jacket - I'd love to see a clear picture of what the "finish" looks like on the leather.
Also, Gemma emailed me their Raiders and Crusade Stock Jacket Sizing Guide.
I was thinking of ordering a 38 off the rack, but it looks like it might be a touch too wide in the body for me. The armpit to armpit measurement for the size 38 is listed as 22 inches across.
I'm looking for something closer to 20 inches - armpit to armpit, so I'm thinking of getting a size 36 custom.
Does anyone out there own a size 36 Raiders Jacket from Wested? I'd love to see a pic of the jacket zipped up. I tend to like snugger fitting jackets.
Thanks!
K.

I have an LC/CS Wested that I purchased just this past year. The hide is absolutely fabulous and the variances in color are beautiful! You will fall in love, in a heartbeat. Broke in very quickly. I you are considering this hide -- you won't go wrong, but I would suggest going for the custom jacket. It is truly worth the money spent. And, if you do go this route -- get your size. Don't downsize. I'm a perfect 38 reg. and all three of my Wested's fit perfectly (all are custom -- this LC/CS, my newly acquired 'Hero' in authentic lamb, and my black ROTLA in goat) All with cotton lining and gussets. Just my two cents. Hope you go this route, as I am certain you won't regret it. W>

Although I'm not a fan of pre distressed leather, Wconly's statement about custom sizing is right on. It really is worth the extra bucks. My custom sized jacket from G&B is the best fitting jacket I've ever owned, by a country mile, but had to learn the hard way. First time around I ordered off the rack, and while the fit was not all bad, I wasn't totally comfortable with it. You know the old cliché; measure twice, cut once. Go for the custom fitting. You'll be glad you did.
