Leather Attractions Jacket!

I was over at Indy Gear and I noticed because of Todd's new jacket Platon was trying to put a list together of all the available Indy jackets for sale. He listed the jacket here at Leather Attractions.

As you can plainly see by the "model" they've taken the pic from the Wested site and Photo-shopped the model's face onto the "Indy Dummy".

Back last year when I was looking for a good (within my budget) type of Indy jacket I found this site. I wrote them an e-mail and asked them to send me real pics of their jacket....they did!

The jacket is the same basic Indy design but it's "Puffy" looking and the lining on the inside is thick and looks like the same material they use in those flannel shirt jackets they sell in the winter.

I wish I still had the pics but I can't seem to find them. I did post over there in Platon's thread and let them know about the jacket.

I didn't want to see anyone anywhere get burned because they didn't really know about the jacket and ordered it because of the low price. I'm sure it's a fine leather jacket it just wouldn't make a good Indy jacket.

I saw that thread today, and truly believe that most everyone missed Platon's point completely. His point was, there are many places selling Indy style jackets, so Todd's new one is not a big deal at all.

They were all focusing on whether or not this one company was a rip-off or not. Sure it probably is a crappy jacket, but for the price what do you expect? The real point was either ignored or totally missed.

I remember the thread about this over on COW. IMO, it speaks volumes about their faith in their product if they won't even post a pic of it.

I think the thread just got sidetracked. Once the photo from their site was posted that lead to a line of questions about the quality which lead to Shawnkara mentioning real pics of the jacket floating around.

I realized then that I was the one that originally posted those pics and brought up the jacket. So I felt I should step in and let them know what I knew about it.

Yeah, for that price you probably are getting what you paid for. According to them they are a wholesale company and that's why their prices are so low. I'm sure for a regular leather jacket it's fine but from the pics they sent me I would not recommend it for someone looking for an Indy jacket on any budget. I fear that if someone were to buy it thinking they were getting a deal on a decent Indy jacket they'd be disappointed if they got it.

And like Weaver said. You've got to question the motives and quality from a place that tries to pass off another company's jacket as their own by using their pic. If you saw the two jackets pics side by side there is a noticeable difference in quality.

I don't believe the jacket has ever been brought up here before so I wanted to make sure people had some info to go on before actually purchasing it.
