I just secured a deal for a used G&B Indy jacket. The wait is going to kill me!

Mine met and exceeded my expectations. Even in lamb guise, I believe it to be a sturdy, well-built, and well-designed leather jacket. I wear it nearly every time I go out as a part of my regular wardrobe.

Got my jacket today and it is better than I could have hoped for. I need to do some research on distressing but the jacket is so beautiful that I may have a hard time with that.

Congratulations on getting your new G&B jacket. I share your feelings about distressing. The only distressing my G&B will ever see is extreme fondling with Pecard's when required. These jackets are way too beautiful, and way too pricey to be soaked in a hot shower, then stomped on and driven over on your driveway or on some dirty street, then to add insult to injury, raked over with sandpaper or a wire brush. All this just to make somebody else believe that we are having wonderful adventures. Frankly, I just don't get it. Somebody please help me with this. PS........ Perhaps my emotions got a little out of hand here. Sheesh. Anyhow, try not to destroy your jacket in the process.

In the defense of Gear Distressers, newish looking Indy Gear looks kinda ridiculous when worn as Indy Gear. This is, after all, field gear we're talking about. If we want others to believe that this is supposed to be Indy's field gear, and not just casual clothes that we only wear every so often, it has to look the part. If nothing else, you can use Fuller's Earth or something to get that same effect. No hard feelings. Steven

No hard feelings Steven. We are not tigers, though we may strive to be. There is a perfection in that state to which we ordinary humans can only aspire. I understand your logic, but cannot subscribe to it. It's sort of like attempted instant gratification that doesn't really gratify.
