Oh, lord.........I was hoping they'd come out with some stuff that was a little bit better than what we've seen in the past.......but this looks worse than even my old plastic Indy halloween costume I had as a kid.. Did anyone notice the skull on the second page? I wonder how close that is to the screen version?

Oh, lord.........I was hoping they'd come out with some stuff that was a little bit better than what we've seen in the past.......but this looks worse than even my old plastic Indy halloween costume I had as a kid.. Did anyone notice the skull on the second page? I wonder how close that is to the screen version? I quite agree ~It seems that this Indy film will spawn many (low key) (and I am being nice) items... MASS Marketing products, which will be quick, easy to make, just slap the Indiana Jones moniker on the product, and you have a "easy" money maker. ~ About the skull ~If one goes by the Poster and makes a comparison to the one pictured on the site. ~ I would say that a they are VERY different ~ I think (as I look) more into it... that the skull will not be human, rather a slight Humanoid hybred, and a mix of styles... but, thats as far as I will go on the skull possibility. Question ~Is it just me and my computer connection, or did I NOT see any prices on these items ~ ? IE

Well, many thanks to G-MANN for the link...now I've scored myself a new avatar! ;D I have to say, this "gear" is just atrocious. I think it'd be more accurate to call this stuff "not even close" gear. ;D Interesting looking skull, to be sure...but considering how close everything seems to be, the skull could be way off, too. At least I got me this nifty new avatar! ;D -GCR

I hate the idea of "printed sachel and shirt pockets " on the shirt's material !! Ridiculous !! The actual sachel at the bottom of page 1 would make a nice collectible though. And the shape of the plastic gun holster on page 2 looks accurate enough. But besides those...

At least SOMEONE is bothering to make gear for six-legged dogs.

MASS Marketing products, which will be quick, easy to make, just slap the Indiana Jones moniker on the product, and you have a "easy" money maker. ~ still mass marketing shouldn't make people completely blind... or does it? I mean what's the deal about making the stuff look at least *a little* like the real gear? I just can't believe that producing all that in another color or more accurate shape would be less easy to make or cost only a single cent more... but it's always the same... think of the star wars costumes. apart from the ultra deluxe versions, they were a catastrophe.

Although to the purists these look horrible.
They could they be better, of course. (Loose the blatant logos for one!).
But, to people going to a fancy dress party and not wanting to spend a lot of money they look a load of fun. Rubies design to cost and to a particular market, I don't think we need to be too harsh on them. We aren't their target market.

Well, even IF were not their target market and even IF I wasn't into this I still think they look awful......Seriously, I've seen Freddy Kruger halloween hats that look more like Indy's fedora. It's just my opinion though..... By the way I LOVE your new avatar, GCR! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cheer up, fellas. At least everyone here at the moment has been a fan for quite some time and is financially and passionately dedicated to the look and the authenticity. Pretty soon, the closer we get to the CS release, we're going to start seeing more and more frauds, posers, wanna-be's and cheapskates; all looking to build an "authentic" costume JUST becuase they JUST saw CS.
So I say leave the cheap costumes to those mentioned above this sentence and relish the fact that we here at Indy lounge have never settled for anything but quality. After all, to quote Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing, "...anything worth doing...worth doing right."

I'd say out of all that stuff the holster looks the best. I'd buy that for my kid.....The rest of the stuff I can find pretty cheap on my own and it would look a heck of a lot better..... pitfall-harry.deviantart.com/gallery/#Indy-Jr
