It came yesterday. Now, I don't own an authentic Mark VII bag, but this one looks just like all the pictures I've seen. I've only taken a couple of photos. I'll take more tomorrow (I don't have to work). But there are some good pictures at Magnoli Clothiers. www.indyprops.com/osCommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=66So, more pictures soon. Man, I am so psyched! -Josh

Lookin' good! Yeah, I'd say that replica is pretty close, though I can't get a good enough look at some of the finer details (like drainage holes, type of buttons and the little metal disc on the side) from this pic. Still, it looks like a newer, cleaner version of my original MK-VII bag, so I'd say replica-wise it's pretty damn close. How's the material? I've heard the Mag-bags seem a bit thinner than they should be, but I also heard Magnoli was planning to produce a "heftier" version of his repro. Is this one of the newer models? -GCR

Yes, it is a newer model. In fact I had to wait about 4 months for it because they were making it from a new material. It is pretty thick, too. And the drainage holes and metal side disc look very accurate. They just look new, not worn-in.
The coolest feature it has, I think, is that the Mk VII 1942 printing is on the inside of the bag! I'm not aware of another replica that has that.
Oh, and it definitely is a HUGE improvement upon my Costumbase bag. I'll take some comparison pics later.

I'd say you have a winner, there. Looks good from what I can see. I wouldn't worry about the metal pieces looking too new to be vintage, though. I have a vintage MKVII that looks brand new, right down to the metal. It looks like it came out of a time machine. 'Blues

Here are a couple more photos. And I forgot to take a picture of the drainage holes or side disc. Later. BTW, the second picture is of my Costumebase bag. -Josh
