Wested Indiana Jones Temple of Doom Jacket Noel Howard pattern in beautifully hand distressed oil pull cowhide. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best jackets from Wested Leather, the company that made the jackets for the original Indy movies. This jacket was patterned directly from a screen used jacket that was kept in the collection of Noel Howard Costumier, formerly of Berman & Nathans. Includes the chunky white metal zip and spiked side strap buckles seen on the original, and features a black cotton liner. This has been hand distressed to perfection, looks like it has been on years of adventures but yet is almost new. Note: there are some cut surface stitches on the shoulders due to distressing, but this is not structural - see pics. All measurements are outside measures, please be sure you will fit, as RETURNS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Chest across: 21" Back: 24.5" Sleeve: 23" $250 SHIPPED. US and Europe. PM me for other regions.

Kt Templar
You seem to be the Indy Jacket expert. Love some feedback. I want to buy a Wested Jacket. Reasons for purchase:
1) Comfortable light weight jacket I can wear in a warmer climate on cooler days or indoors. (I have some nice leather jackets that are too heavy to wear except in pretty chilly weather and not comfortable for long periods) 2) Something that is practical and sturdy and will stand the test of time. 3) Something that will have character and distress and look very Indiana Jones and look relatively SA.
At first I was thinking ROLA in lamb. Then I saw your post from Aug 2009 regarding washed goat in ToD style. Another person in that post "jrabbit" bought a ROLA jacket in washed goat. His pics make the jacket look a little to small or short, though I do like the idea of a jacket that "fits". The pic you posted there looks quite nice and maybe the difference is in the ToD style vs ROLA.
So, then I was thinking ToD washed goat but saw a post from you that I believe was from 2006 of a custom "Merino Lamb"(?), I think you had purchased the leather yourself? That jacket looked really cool and comfortable and nice fit but I wasn't sure how heavy it was or reproducible if you hunted down that leather yourself.
So, what is your opinion of what I'd be happiest with. I kind of want a jacket I could wear out on the town, over a shirt and tie but also on a modest outdoor adventure over a t shirt
Would you recommend the ToD washed goat, ROLA lamb, or somthing else? Also, do I want the older more classic "hero" style or whatever their updated version of the jackets are?
Thanks in advance.
