Recently I watched an old 1971 movie called "Summer Of 42" . Actor Gary Grimes , the male lead wore a beautiful vintage style leather jacket that looked a little like Jnicktem's Surrogates jacket from Nowak , but had a softer distressed look not unlike the Nowak CS jacket . The front is like Nick's with two slant slash pockets and a zippered pocket on the left breast . No cuffs , but a sort of half cuff overlay with two buttons attached like on a dress overcoat . The back has a western style yoke , the point of which leads to a center pleat that ends at a half belt about two thirds the way down . There are side tabs with buckles or D rings . I was wondering if anybody has seen a jacket like this , or knows more about it , or has seen the movie and may have some comments . !971 was a long time ago . You can see movie trailers on You Tube that show pretty good shots , or you may be able to download the movie . It's pretty good . I would give half my kingdom for a jacket like this ................ if I had one .

Magnoli Leathers. He's got one of those. I believe it's called the open road jacket. He can put one of those center pleats down the back, too. It's the one you're looking for. Aero UK has one called the 30's Slimfit Halfbelt. Check that out also, but it doesn't have that pleat down the center of the back. Good Wear also has one called the Ventura Half Belt. It's a nice looking jacket. Finally, there's the Filmjackets.com Bruno Halfbelt. It's much lower in price, though missing the western style yoke on the back (the yoke is straight) and no pleat running down the center of the back. Sometimes they have sales on ones that were returned because the sleeves or back were too long. In that case, you can save about 80 bucks or so.
