I ordered some saddle tan roo hide, intended for stockwhips. Then, I got an order from a member of the cow forums for an 8 foot indy style in saddle tan. So I decided to use the hides I had already ordered for it. Here it is... Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUnless I get other orders, my next two whips will be a matched pair of stockwhips, 12x16 , saddle tan , half plait handle. Then after that it'll be a 8 foot 16 plait black bullwhip for myself. Let me know what you guys think! I'm hoping to get a test cracking video of it sometime today.

Tight, straight plating and flawless taper. Very good shape on your heel knot and the color is Impressive -Dusty

Wow, thank you Dusty! The guy I made it for wants me to break it in ( which I readily accepted because the only whips I own right now are my first and second ones, and while they work they certainly are not in this one's league ). I used it for about an hour today and it's barely loosened up! Good, in my opinion. It will have lots of life in it when it is broken in. Thank you again!

Beautiful whip! If I remember correctly you've only been in the craft for a short while, correct? Judging from this one though, I'd swear you had been doing this at least ten years or more. Phenomenal work!

Wow, thank you!!! I've been making whips less than a year but close to a year, leather whips about 5-6 months. This one was my 7th kangaroo whip, or 8th leather whip. I've already got my next two whips started, a matched pair of stockwhips in saddle tan

Nice video. I'm in awe that you are still a newcomer to whip making. The alignment of the braid is nearly flawless and the taper is nice and smooth. Sounds like it cracks really well too!

Wow! Thank you! It does crack well. I used this one for about an hour, then I went and tried to crack one of the whips I own ( I only own my first and second leather whips. They're great for my first and second whips, I mean really great, but they're nothing compared to this one ) and I couldn't barely use the thing! I got spoiled on this one in just an hour! I'm glad that I'm making a whip to keep for myself really soon, it's definitely overdue! Thank you again!!!!
