Hello,
I was wondering if anyone here can tell me if the various leather straps rub off some colour once they get wet. I'm currently assembling some vintage inspired travelling gear and a canvas shoulder bag with a leather strap would be just the thing I'm looking for. But once the leather starts bleeding colour onto a white shirt when you've escaped from a down pour, that would be a no-go after all.
Thanks for any information!

Depends on the maker and what kind of dye they used

i have to say i wore my Todd's satchel and strap on a trip to orlando florida and it got wet , it did leave a stain on my shoulder and it was on my Todd's indy shirt ! luckily when i got back to the hotel room i hand washed my shirt and it was stain free the next morning. but after that no more staining whenever it got wet . hope that helps.

I have a medium-brown strap coming from Magnoli (which I think is supplied by Wade Egan). Has anyone experienced bleeding with one of these?

Did it ever get wet while you were wearing it? No personal experience?
