As I mentioned in other threads, I've recently got new gear items to "refine" my close-enough Indy gear. Until now, the bag that I had was the repro from Todd's. The web belt was green, the gun belt was too small (narrow) and black (just some belt I bought years ago because it had the approximate buckle shape) and my holster was a retired cal.38 police holster. My Indy shirt was a uniform shirt I bought a few years back at an army surplus store ( I say WAS but they still are as I still have them ) Now the "refined" gear is composed of: - genuine MKVII bag from WPG - brown web belt from Todd's - "budget" gun belt from Todd's - bag strap from Todd's - Webley holster purchased on ebay - Indy shirt from WPG I took some pics tonight, some with flash (to show actual colors) some without flash (to show more details) The "refined" gear...MKVII bags comparisons... (Todd's on your left, genuine on your right) Inside flap of the genuine bag... New belts and Webley holster... Detail of the back of Webley holster... (1916 ? Wonder if it's the date of manufacturing ) Old vs new... ( the .38 holster looks so small ! ) WPG shirt... (right out of the plastic bag...still shows "folding wrinkles"... Fits O.K. , kinda big, but the fabric will shrink after wash) Kinda looks cool all put together... (with the whip of course)

Hey that holster looks like the one I lost the auction on about 3 weeks ago...Lucky. The gear looks great. I'm surprised to see how well that WPG shirt fits. Mine is huge, and have heard no good things about it. They must have sent you a good one by accident.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Mine was purchased on Aug 29, I only received it 3 weeks ago. I noticed that right after I got mine, there was another one on auction from the same seller using the very same pics !? Well, you didn't see it from the back, (that's where it really "puffs" out) and I am kinda...big. The shirt's size is 17 & 1/2 X 35. You can see on the very last pic ( by looking under the right arm) how wide it is

Stefana, those are some awesome new additions to what was already a great gear collection!!! It's always great getting gear in "bunches" like that. I went through a similar "splurge" around this time last year, buying a new holster, whip and web belts (and ordering some new hats, though they took a lot longer to show up). I have to say, so much time gets devoted to the "big ticket" gear items, like the hats or jackets, that it's always refreshing to see a new thread with pics of some of the other gear. That original MKVII looks great, it's amazing that there are still bags in such good condition out there. The Web belt looks good as well! I have to say, nothing beats having one of the dark brown belts. I searched for years through local army / navy surplus stores, looking for one but the closest I ever came was finding a khaki colored web belt. I ended up doing the same as you and buying two of the brown belts (and a new khaki one) from Todd's. That holster looks fantastic! I've been wanting a Webley holster for a while, myself, to round out my LC gear. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a find like that on Ebay! And the shirt, I have to say, doesn't look bad at all. Maybe a bit large, but as you say, you have to account for shrinkage in the wash. Definitely one of the better fitting WPG shirts I've seen. Those are truly some awesome acquisitions!!! Thanks for sharing some pics! -GCR

Wow Stefana!! Everything looks great. even the shirt! I know you got most of this stuff a while ago, and I'm glad you still decided to post it. In fact, I remember bidding on that holster myself! I'm glad it went to somebody who deserves it. I got a different one anyway from a guy in england who custom makes them. BTW your bag does look awesome, but I don't know if it beats mine. And I couldn't help but notice the pics of your old bag vs. the wpg bag. See how the original MKVII has that divider in the main pouch, but the todd's repro doesn't? In my MKVII thread a while back I mentioned removing that divider to fit things in the bag better, and you gave me one of these looks: hahaha. Do you see what I mean now tho? will you keep that divider in your new bag?

Thanks for the kind comments guys ! I was only kidin' when I said that my bag was nicer...the only thing "nicer" about it is the date printed on the inside wich is clearer. Was it really the same ? As I mentioned before... Yes I do get the idea now, and no I won't remove it since I've got the other version to fill in for any different carrying needs.

Thanks for the kind comments guys ! I was only kidin' when I said that my bag was nicer...the only thing "nicer" about it is the date printed on the inside wich is clearer. I was only kiddin' too when I said that("BTW your bag..."). There was a wink in there too And the print on your bag is very clear. maybe I am a little jealous. wink again-> I'm pretty sure it was the same. I saw that guy auctioning several other things(boots, a fedora) back in July and August along with that holster. After I was outbid I saw the same item up for auction twice more with the same pics as you said. and you know what's funny? Look at this! cgi.ebay.com/INDIANA-JONES-LAST-CRUSADE-STYLE-WEBLEY-HOLSTER_W0QQitemZ130163177076QQihZ003QQcategoryZ22701QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I guess there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the page saying actual markings may be different than photo. This guy must have bought a bunch of those webleys.

I guess so, because on those pics the one shown is exactly my holster I got from him. (juging by the weathering marks) Thanks Ken.
