Well as of today my entire Indy costume is done...100% However, What'd everybody do about their mark VII bag straps? I got myself an original Mark VII and the proper leather strap from Todd. So tell me...what'd you do? Did you cut them off? Thanks again everyone for all the help!

I would suggest using a thread ripper, thats what I used, this way you can save the original strap, and later it can be sewn back together. give me a few minutes and I'll post pics of the tool and exactly how to do this. Ok I hope this helps you, No cutting just removal of thread, the strap is saved and can be re-sewn later. as you can see below, we are working with the right side of the strap. this is important, so stay to the right. Good Luck, you can get a thread ripper like mine at hobby lobby or most arts and crafts stores. just go to the sewing section. I think wal-mart has a sewing section, so you can try them as well.
