Don't be to harsh now. I had a bunch of stuff laying around so I figured what the heck. It's by no means pretty but with a little effort it cracks like a firecracker. Everybody has to start somewhere right so this is my start. I'm going to make an Indy style next soon as I can order the stuff to do it with. Nylon of course. Thanks, David Attachments:

Looks like what my first whip looked like! Two more strands on the
overlay start would have made it a little better, but I did the
same thing on my first. Best thing that can happen is you do
something wrong, because you'll always remember that and more
than likely never forget about it, and never repeat it.
Good work for your first whip!

That's good. I say if you don't enjoy it you shouldn't do it, it should be enjoyable. I'm not saying you won't get frustrated at times, you more than likely will, but overall you should enjoy this. It's good you are

Not bad at all for a first attempt. I myself have been toying with the idea of trying out whip making. Keep at it and please keep sharing your results! : )
