Ok which Jacket is more durable and will last through regular use. Todd's or the wested authentic lamb? I have heard some horror stories on this fourm about todd's jacket but the posts are from years ago. Has this jacket improved i nquality over the years?

In most cases you pay for what you get.

I don't own a jacket from Todd. Although I've heard they are nice, they also run a bit on the thin side. I have two Wested jackets. The first one is lambskin, the other is goat. They are very trustworthy jackets.
I have to agree with Gailen. If you are looking for $200+ quality, expect to pay that.

I own most all of the major jackets but living in Florida I find myself grabbing the Todd Jacket because of the thiness of the leather. Great jacket for warmer climates. As far as durability goes I don't thing the Todd jacket could stand the rough treatment like other more expensive brands like the Gibson & Barnes.

Comparing a Todds jacket to a G&B is rather unfair though....G&B would probably hold out against most tanks and come up smiling too...
The Todds jackets are good...But the stitching isn't quite as well done as the Wested, and for long term durability, I'd say Wested by a notch....The leathers used by both are thin and fairly light...So it would depend on what skin you went with, but for long term durability between the Todds and Wested jackets, the Wested has it...
Durability wise, the best Indy jacket out there is, without a doubt, the G&B.....But..You pay for it....
If durability is a major concern, then saving for one of those is a great idea...But if you want a great jacket, and are only a touch concerned about how well it'll last, the Wested is a little ahead of the Todds in that regard...
Oh...The Hero is the best jacket I have right now...Lovely work...And well worth the consideration...
(The most "durable" jacket I own is a Vanson X-1....So solid I can kill people by walking past them too fast...Gotta be careful with those....LOL)

Lambskin is probably the LEAST durable of any hide your jacket could be made from. If you want strength and toughness, you really need goat, cow, steer, or horse. This is why you rarely see motorcycle jackets made of lamb.
However, these hides usually are not as soft, nor do they drape as well, as lamb.
