Kotcs was my least favorite of them just like any Indy fan. If they're making a new one I think Shia Lebouf ( if that's spelled correctly) is the obvious choice for the predecessor. Hear me out before you chastise me. He has a similar acting style to Ford in the Indy movies. Meaning his sarcastic nature even in the face of danger. However he would have to tame his level of hyperactivity to match Indy's seemingly endless cool headed and sarcastic nature. That being said, Ford is Indy. I do not believe he can be replaced. I think they would have to have his prodigy take up the reigns. Something that was eluded to in the last scene of The Crystal Skull. Remember? Indy's hat blew down The aisle and Mutt picked it up and was just about to put it on when Indy grabbed it from him as he was walking out the door with Marion. This is the only way I can see it happening short of killing off Indy which would kill the fan base. If they do ever make the movie this is what I expect to happen anyway. It would definitely be Ford's last role as Indy other than maybe cameo appearances in future movies as more of a mentor role to whoever takes up his reigns. Just my two cents anyway. No matter how they do it, they will never be able to recreate the magic that the original trilogy holds. Especially Raiders of the Lost Arc!
Absolutely love the site by the way.

What do you think of this idea for a screenplay Mister Lucas . Do Indy V where they rediscover Shangri-La , and when Indy [Harrison] gets there he gets younger , and at that point they switch to a younger actor . Just a thought . It is true , screenplays by and large are not what they once were . Too much reliance on special effects like in Avatar . Take away the visual and there is nothing left . I've heard it said that Casablanca was once voted the best screenplay ever written , and the first two Godfather films right behind . Remember the chariot race in Ben Hur , real stuff . There is room for an Indy V , but beware Mister Lucas , do make it a good one . Sheesh .

I feel that just the excitment and the anticipation for a new movie is reason enough for them to make a new one... Theres one thing that they all agree on..... THAT THEY ARE FUN TO MAKE!!!(and to watch) So everyone wins if indy five comes out... even if its not going to be your favorite!!!
