I just got back from wal-mart and I purchased some Wells Lamont gloves and I only paid $8.33 plus tax. I was stoked when I saw these. Here they are www.wellslamontindustry.com/1130.htm I'd better get crackin on aging them ;D

Sweet find! I picked up my 1130's at a Walmart a few years back as well. Distressing them is very easy and really brings out the "Raiders" in them. -GCR

Definitely my favorite gloves. I have two pair. A dirty pair for rough use and a cleaner pair for keeping my hands warm. Just get out and use them. They'll distress quickly on their own.

Hey GCR how Did you distress your gloves? They look really good and used. This quote is from my "gear thread" in the Photo section. They're Wells Lamont 1130's. I own two pair, this pair here and another in brand new condition. I distressed these right off the bat by doing some sanding and then rubbing them with lots of brown and black shoepolish while wearing the gloves (like you would with handsoap). But they are also my regular work gloves whenever I'm doing yardwork, working on a car, etc. so they get plenty of action to add to the artificial distressing. That's pretty much it...only thing I will add is that I used the "cream" style of shoepolish that comes in a tube, not the waxy kind out of a tin. -GCR

I bought some wells lamont gloves too, and i tried to give it a screen acurate distressing: NO dirt or anything natural. The thing is I think the guy who owned them befor me tried to distress them already. Ohw well I like the way they turned out

Those are looking good, Dirk! A little sanding with some fine grit sandpaper in a few strategic spots and you'd have some dead-ringers there my friend! And since this thread has turned into a bit of an "Indy Glove Showcase" anyway, I'll throw a few more pics in here. Consider this a "before and after" of sorts. These gloves were pruchased at the same time, but I've distressed one pair to look like the screen-used gloves, and the other pair I've kept in new condition. I figured it might be fun to see how different these gloves can look with some distressing and a whole LOT of real wear and tear. Can you tell which one is which? ;D -GCR
