I just recieved my Mk VI from www.lawranceordnance.com/new/equipment-bags.html and wanted to give a review of it. Plus compare it to my MKVII fro What price Glory. The first thing is they both seam very sturdy and made well. The MKVI does not have the two vents on the bottom of the bag or does it have the disk ( I don't know what else you would call it) on the side of the bag. The pockets are different then the MKVII. The MKI has three main pockets and are slightly smaller than the MKVII. Two of the pockets near the Bottom connect ( MKVI). The MKVI has a flap at the back of the bag ( that the MKVII doesn't) and thier are two tall pockets to hold stuff. Ok now the pics........ Front view MKVII Front view MKVI MKVII ( shot from above to try and show the pockets). MKVI ( shot from above to try and show the pockets). MKVI ( shot taken of the back of the bag to show the back flap). Over all the MKVI bag is not bad and I'm keeping it. It will serve it purpose well for what I want to use it for. For the price of the MKVI ($25 and $18 for shipping ) it's a OK deal but not a great one. You still have to buy the strap. It good as a close enough and is a handy tought bag. One more thing before I forget........it's about two inches tallet than the MKVII. I think for a few dollars more you could get a good repro of the MKVII. Pleas feel free to ask questions as I know I forgot some information.

Good review. I haven't had the chance at all to compare my bag to the MKVII it was nice to now finally learn how different the two bags were. For some reason I always assumed the MKVII bag had the other flap on the other side as well. So my bag is slightly bigger than the other bag as well. If there isn't much difference in price and your looking to totally SA then I agree.....try and find a good repo of the MKVII. If you don't really care and want one that you can order right off the bat then I'd say the MKVI isn't bad. All of the extra pockets inside do come in handy if you plan on using it for just more than an Indy gear item. I've had my bag for a while now and they are very rugged and well made. Although, mine is starting to finally "dirty up" some and actually look like Indy's in that respect. Thanks again, Oak.

Great review with some great pics! I've always wanted to score a MK VI, and I think i might just add one of these to my "Gear Wishlist". I've got an original MK VII in decent shape, but I'd love to have another "Indy-style" bag and what better substitute for a MK VII than a MK VI? Besides, didn't Indy carry a MK VI for a few scenes in Temple of Doom? -GCR

The MKVI has 3 pockets in the main part of the bag ( front) and 2 tall , thin ones in the back. Both having thier own flap with 2 snaps. The MKVII has 5 in the main section. 2 big pocket, 2 small pocket and a tiny pocket ( I place my cell phone in this pocket). The MKVI pockets are smaller than the MKVII. I can fit more in the MKVII even with the tiny cell phone pocket.
