I'm still looking for the right mfg for these boots, and I have a few options, but as you can guess, some options are pricey. I wanted to get a feel for what is most appealing to you. Let me explain the choices:
Average quality: Glued on sole, good leather upper and sole material. Compare to Rockport, Sketchers, etc. $75 - $99 Better Quality: Goodyear Welt, better materials, good craftsmanship. Compare to Carolina, Caterpillar, etc. $110 - $125 Supreme Quality: Goodyear welt, top materials and hardware, compare to Redwing, Alden $165 - $185
I really don't know how to call this one. I see the allure of the low end and high end, but I'd appreciate any input. I can only carry one option.

better or supreme quality for me. would you be getting them made in wider sizes? this is what kept me from ordering your original outdoorsman boots.

Oh yeah! I agree about the width problems. I need extra wides and I'm sure others do also.

Aldens are a great boot. Very comfortable and practical. I can't see myself ever being able to afford another pair though so I'd welcome a practical and decently priced alternative. The middle category sounds good to me

I would have loved to have found a quality pair of shoes, made like the 405's, for $200.
There is just no way your going to produce a quality boot in this style and with a limited market for $80.

I love my Outdoorsman boots, but they are starting to separate at the soles. A low price tag would be great, but I think I'd be willing to shell out an extra $20 or so for Better Quality. $110 - $125 sounds good to me. -Josh

Though I'm a new site member, I'm a long time Indy collector. If I may make personal observation. Here we have a vendor requesting imput so that he can create a better product to to fill the needs of collectors. Look what we get. Six responders in 36 hours. I just don't get it. In most hobbies collectors would be thrilled to be this close to the action. Come on guys, say something.

I would have to say supreme or better at the very least. Todd's already has raised the bar with some of the best quality Raiders pants money can buy for a great price. I see no reason for them not to continue the trend with their boots. The great thing is boots, like the jacket and pants can be worn everyday.

If the supreme is only $165-185, which is still cheaper than the $435 Aldens, then it's a no-brainer! EDIT: Darn, I wish I could take back my vote. Now I want the $110-$125 Better Quality! Now the question is: can you add color options like the Aldens? 405-Style Regular Brown and 403-Style Dark Brown? Do that and you'll find a customer for the Dark Browns in me. Steven

So the poll should really look like this:
Average quality: $75-$99 (0 votes, 0%) Better $110 - $125 (6 votes, 66.6%) Supreme $165-$185 (3 votes, 33.3%)
Todd, I think I'd go with Better Quality if I were you.

I would say either better or supreme. Quality boots that compare to Aldens for over half the price definitely sound very nice.

I have had my Todds boots for about three years and, barring minor sole issues , they are still going strong. In fairness I have not worn them on a daily basis or any thing like it. I reserve them for the fall through spring season. I keep them nice and Pecarded and they are as comfortable as a boot can get. I wouldnt mind shelling out a few more bux for a higher quality product. Cheers! Bravo
