I'm not a screen accurate person, I'm not crazy obsessed with wearing this stuff out, but I do want a costume I can wear yearly and easily worn to my job since the students love it.
I did recently purchase costumebase's Indiana Jones gear and overall for the price of what you get in the package ($95) this is an ENTIRELY servicable costume set. Mine came in XL.
I'll start with the shirt: It's very soft and it's sized perfectly for a guy who wears a 44L suit jacket. Sleeves have great length, shirt is long enough, and it has plenty of room if you have a beer gut. I do not so it's very roomy and easily tucked it to slim down. It's an extremely comfortable shirt and the most pleasant surprise of the kit. Is it top quality stitching and such? No. But it looks good enough to even be worn with a nice pair of pants.
Pants: These feel like costume pants. The material is like half way between dress pants and cheap polyester costume pants. The stiching is sloppy but you don't see that with a belt. They fit great and come with elastic bands on the hips to accommodate many sizes. I'd say the absolute largest waist size you want to go is a 38 in these. I wear 36 jeans at Express. These are entirely comfortable. The pants are definitely geared towards a 36x34 person but there is plenty of length for someone with may be a 36x36 or 38x36 etc. The only issue could be the inseam is very long so these don't leave a lot of room in the rear. Climbing up a temple could make you feel like you're getting a wedgie from a big bully at school but they don't look like it.
Bag: You be the judge. It's nothing special, just a pretty nice cloth and it has all kinds of nooks and crannies inside to shove stuff. The strap it comes with is plenty long but the folding in the packaging means you may be massaging it out. Needs to be weathered. Totally works.
Belt, whip holder, gun holster: Very impressive. Very believable leather if it is leather. The whip holder works well and the gun holster is neat. All needs weathering but there's plenty of room on this. You could be a pretty big guy and still get away with this.
For $95 for a shirt, pants, belt, whip holder, gun holster, and bag with strap you can't go wrong. The shirt was extra pleasing and it was a pleasant change of pace to see something work out for me after returning so many leather jackets before finding one that fit a tall guy like me (U.S. Wings XL Long).
Any questions or photo requests feel free to ask. Again, I'm not a SA nut or cosplayer but figured I'd review this for the community that has provided plenty of information for my upcoming costume!
