Not having a great deal of joy getting info out of Wested to allow me to choose the correct size of jacket (how can I specify sleeve length if I don't know what the shoulders measure?). My chest currently measures about 46-47. I'd usually wear a 44 suit jacket as I prefer a more tailored sort of fit in suits and a 46 is usally far too big about the midrift. Should I go for a 44 or a 46 Hero? I've tried asking Wested but I've not recieved anything helpful. At the moment I'm going for a 44

Don't know if it's any help, but I wear a 44L jacket and ordered a 48 in the Wested. I have a 46 as well, but it's too fitted. To me Indy had a bit more of a oversized jacket look, not so tight to the body. The 48 shrank and weathered very nicely after a bath as well I also got much longer sleeves so I could work in the wrinkles. Jacket looks amazing now IMHO.

Thanks that is helpful. I wish to god that I'd been able to get useful info out of Wested. Now it looks like I'm going to have to send the jacket back when it arrives all because of poor communication - despite emails and several phone calls

My jacket arrived today. Thankfully the fit is good. The change from a 46 to a 44 was the right choice. The crispe leather is 'interesting' feels very high quality and notibly thicker than my lamb Magnoli jacket. It's going in the washing machine now to get the shine off then some pics when it's dry again. Good work from Wested despite the iffy coms.

My pleasure Ben! There seems to be a lot of conflicting info about regarding sizing with some people saying to order bigger and some people saying to order smaller. I guess a lot depends upon your build as much as your actual size. For me I found that going with my regular suit jacket size plus a bit of extra length in the sleeves and back was the eventual answer. I have broad shoulders though and I can imagine that for people with narrower shoulders they'd be best going a sizer smaller than normal as the shoulders on these are oversized as it states on the site.
The frustration in getting good info out of Wested was fairly intense though...

I've ordered enough from Wested that I have a fair "lock" on my size from them...It's a 46 with slightly shorter sleeves and since I like shorter jackets I ordered a 25.5 inch back...I have a good mate over on COW who's about my size, and using his order as a rough guide it was a little easier as well....He complained about the arm hole sizing, but Gemma said that they can't change it..So I guess it's okay...I've lost a lot of size on my arms recently anyway, so it should work out okay....
My first Wested order was a little off the mark though...A touch too big...Since then, over 4 jackets, I've narrowed it down and my last two were perfectly sized...So...When in doubt...Buy twice as many jackets as you actually need...
Oh no...Actually....That's a REALLY stupid idea...
LOL...Ah well....You get there in the end eh? ;-)
Will post pics when it arrives...It's just been updated to "processing"...I'm hoping on a quick turnaround...(Wested are usually rather good for that).
