Hey everyone. First time poster on the site. I'm planning on ordering a Last Crusade jacket from Wested. I am just wondering whether lambskin or goatskin would be better. I've heard that wested's lambskin is tougher than most. I live in western Washington State so during most of the year it is between an average of 40-60 degrees (down to mid-20s in winter and mid-70s in summer) and it is usually rainy most of the year here. If I'm going to be wearing this around a lot (every day) and would be travelling around a ton in it, what skin varient would be best. It would just be nice to know from you guys now knowing what my local weather is like and also how much I plan to wear it. Is there a huge difference in the durability of the 2 skins or is it not worth worrying about.
Also, what is the texture difference in goat vs lamb. If there is a side by side shot of the two textures close up that would be great!

Lamb is lamb, no matter the retailer. Leather of itself is not warm unless you have a sweater or insulation underneath.

Goat is the way to go if you are going to be roughing it.
Neither will keep you warm in below about 8°c for any length of time without a warm layer underneath as neither have any insulation.
