Hey Indy fans..Just been browsing around the forums..Been looking and wanting a decent Indy jacket for years...well, since the 1st movie came out and I was only a small kid..

I just bought my 1st Indy fedora this past summer. IM sure its not exact replica, but it has the Indy name inside and looks nice.

Now im looking at Indy's jackets. I see a TON of options..FROM cheap kind of look a likes, to mid kind of look a likes, to 200$ look a likes to 500$ look a likes..

Im not rich, but want something VERY close. I see the original has straps with buckles on the sides "NOT sure what they are for?"..I want something a little thinner and very moveable and easy to wear.

With all the choices, what do you suggest? Ive seen TONS of options and just get a tad overwhelmed looking..

Hello and welcome! For you I would recommend either a Todds:

Or a Wested:

With Wested, you get more of a custom jacket with different choices of leather to choose from. With Todds, it is a factory made jacket that is HIGHLY SA, but might not be as durable as you are wanting, being that it is a think lambskin jacket.

Welcome to the Lounge! I have only one Indy jacket so far: a Todd's Costumes. Absolutely LOVE the jacket, fits me like a glove. Lately I've been eyeing Todd's Bantu Wind jacket hungrily. Either model is a steal at the price. I have not had any issues at all with the durability or quality of the jacket and it gets worn a LOT. Welcome. I have a todds and it looks great. even better after i beat it up some. However it is very thin. more so then i thought by the pictures. For the money,it's great. but,the wested hero looks great too. Good luck on your jacket hunt.

Also be sure to check out the classifieds section... you can occasionally pick up a good deal in there. For instance... I have a US Wings Legend jacket for sale there right now!

I have a Bantu Wind from Todd's and a Wested ROLA in lambskin. I love both jackets. The Wested is my dress jacket and the Bantu Wind was purchased specifically for distressing. For the money, I would say either of these is a great option.

Did you find a nice jacket? The good part is this is a great time to be looking for a jacket. The Wested standard hero jacket has different choices of leather, and is thought to be as close to screen accurate as they have ever been. US Wings sells several reasonably priced jackets and imports for $200. Todds is also an option, but they have said that the Todds standard jacket will be offered again in a month or so. G&B is the best made Indiana Jones jacket that you can buy today. All depends?
