Hey,
This is to anyone who has purchased clothing from Indy Magnoli. How did you arrive at you set of measurements? Did you take them yourself, or with help, or have them done profesionally by a tailor? I want to place an order, and I want to find out how much luck other have had with taking their measurements, and how the clothes fit when they got them...thanks for any help at all.

I did all the measurements on my own when I ordered from IM.
What are you going to order?

GMANN,
I was going to take a shot at the Venice Pier Suit, and not that he added the tie, I'll probably get one of those to go with it. I took a gander at the measurement page, and there's so many to take!! not the mention that I'd hate to make a mistake on a $350 order... BTW, what did you order John?

Ah, I see. After you took your own measurements, were you pleased with the fit?

The shirt fit OK. I never tried on the pants. I sent them to another member here.

Huh, I may just go to a tailor -- not only is it a pricey item, but it's also pretty far to have to send it back if it's not correct because I measured wrong!! Not to mention that I decided to order the suit because I have a wedding to attend coming up in a few more months...

I've never heard a negative comment on any of his suits and I've read many, many reviews. Just make sure you get properly measured up.

A5, That's why I'm hesitant to measure myself!! I'm afraid I'll wind up with a suit that fits like Herman Munster's!! ;D ;D I think I'll leave the measuring to the experts, and let the tailor do it for me, even if it costs me a few bucks to do it...and thanks for the input guys! ~Jace

Does anyone here have any extensive experience with a tailor? I'm wondering if I print out the measurement page from Magnoli's website & bring it with me, will the tailor know what all of those measurements are? Or should I also print out the description of what each one is? I guess what I"m asking is are those standard measurements that all tailors are familiar with?

I have only purchased his Adventure shirt, but I can offer some comments on his clothing based on that. I think the shirt itself is very well made and came exactly as I ordered it. My only problem with it are the design and material, which has nothing to do with the quality of his products or accuracy of the order. Those were just fine.

I'm pretty much sold on his quality, just concerned with the measurements now. It seems that the fit is only going to be as good as the numbers I provide him with, so I need to make sure that I get them right the first time!! I hope the tailor I go to knows what the heck I'm talking about when I ask him to measure my everything! ~Jace
