Thanks people, It is a beautiful hat, and wheresabner71, the felt is really beautiful. It is buttery soft but at the same time feels like it can take its share of abuse as well. The bash goes in so easily. I've had the hat for 2 months now and have been on a couple of hikes with it and it did very well against the elements. Haven't tested it in rain yet but one gets the feeling that it will do pretty well when wet. The white bow doesn't come standard with the Henry, that is a little request I did and AB deluxe were kind enought to replace the brown one with a white one that they normally use on their custom hats. It just think it makes it really SA with it. Will post more pics as the hat gains some mileage ;-)
Regards JM

Hey, great hat. I own a Henry myself and I absolutely love it. I have mine bashed in the traditional Raiders style, and I see that yours is bashed in the Crystal Skull style, am I right?
And you said you don't know how it copes in the rain. Well, I live in Ireland, and as you know, it rains a LOT over here. And my Henry has had two VERY thorough soakings and when it dries (at room temperature) it still remains beautifully soft and supple.
It's a great hat and I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it.

As long as you let it dry naturally it should be fine. I live in Oregon and the henry do just fine in our constant rain.

Hi Irish, yeah it is CS style, its the style of the 4 movies I actually prefer, and it felt right getting that bash from AB ;-) I saw yours on a thread you posted a couple of months ago, nice hat as well you got there, looks good with the raiders bash. You know Irish, when I ordered the hat, I actually got it just a size smaller... that advice I got it from reading your thoughts on the Henry and saying it runs a little bigger!!! thanks, got a perfect fit for it ;-)
John, thank you so much for your input, coming from you I know that I can trust my Henry in the rain. I live in Switzerland at the moment, its not the Oregon constant rain but we do get our share of summer storms ;-) will make sure to let it dry naturally if it gets wet.
Regards JM
The real test for the hat will be my trip later this year in Africa, will make sure to post some pics of it while on that trip.

Great looking hat and excellent bash! Looks a lot like my AB Deluxe. I agree, the CS style is easily my second favourite bash of the series... right after Raiders of course.
My Henry is my abuse hat. I have worn it in monsoon like downpours and it's had no effect on it whatsoever. Just take John's advice and let it dry naturally.

Thank you Noah It was a very good day, enjoyed the hike and my Henry held so well, the first picture of the album should actually be last one of the album (loaded them in the worng order ), that was at the end of the day. I wanted to take a pic of the hat with the little bit of dust that settled on it and after a day of little abuse. After a quick shake the hat was perfect again. The ribbon is slowly getting a nice used look, very slowly, but I love how the Henry ages. its like good wine Regards JM
