I can't believe it's this time a year agin. Better start now or another year will roll by. :anxious: ok, guys and dolls. lets take a look back and see what I had "on the block' (pun intended) :CR:
Heres what I set to work on this past year.
- New Marlo block to better match bogie style of hat
- another set of flanges to add to the fleet
- Launch a new hat line
- Launch Penman Vintage
- finish up and launch Panama hats
- Have improved photos taken of each main offering done like this one.
Things I got accomplished from that list
-new Marlo block
-set of flanges added to the fleet
-improved photos taken of hats for site. Most but not all
Didn't go the way I hoped it would
-Launch vintage Penman but didn't really take off. This is where I would find some vintage hats that need some refurbishing and would re-work IE: clean, re-block replace or clean up and re-use parts ( whatever the hat needed to get it back to it's once glory). Launch the idea but never really took off.
-Launch new line of hats. Still working on that one. taking longer that I would hoe but still on the burner.
-Launch panama hats. Still working on this one as well. Some problems with this one thats out of my hands but will resolve it.
Things I got done that I didn't have on the list
- new/improved hat stands
- finished up the portable hat hook and (I will have the up for sale very soon)
- Black cherry is now a standard offering
- satin finish hat offering
- hand sewn bound edges
- hand sewn welted edges
- Casablanca hat offering
- Launched Penman hat co. blog "on the block"
- New Penman hat brushes
- added a new batch of vintage ribbon to my shop and have more coming. This was a great find.
- Added Indy ribbon in different colors and sizes. another great addition.
- re-worked some of the help videos on my site.
Things I like to set out for this coming year.......
- Panama hat offerings
- Premium hat offering
- a new line of Penman hats called "the Everyman"
- Find new source for water repellant
At this time I would like to thank all the people who gave me your support. Thank you to each and everyone of you guys and dolls. It really means a lot to me. I have to say I have learned a lot about the biz. some good , some not so good but it was interesting to say the least.
Thanks everyone and be seeing you.
