The older brother of the famous Indy MKVII bag, the MKVI. I've always loved these bags as well, because they have a slightly different look than the VII, and they also have an extra set of pockets on the backside of the bag. I used to own one of these, and now it is in the hands of my friend West. There is a place in the UK selling these for a steal, compared to the MKVII. $20 GBPs, or about $38 bucks shipped! It's a fantastic deal, and they are all in mint, unused, un-issued condition. I would say these are a great alternative to a look -a-like, or repro bag, that you would pay similar money, or morefor. I can't get one just yet, but wanted to pass the savings on to my friends. Here is a link to the sale page. www.silverdale.entadsl.com/Endicotts/Endicotts/Endicotts_-_Gasmasks.html 'Blues

The Endicott's bags are nice! I've got one of their MKVIIs. Their stuff is excellent quality.
Thanks, IndyBlues.

It says the sale has ended and it's dated May 12 , 2006?!? From what I can tell the only difference between my bag and the ones that were offered here is that my bag is missing those little vents on the side.

Harry, that's their main MKVII page, click on the MKVI Info button to the right. 'Blues

The VI is a nice bag but I feel the VII is sturdier - especially in terms of the strap rings. Kevin at Endikotts is a sterling chap too and their bags are excellent condition as well as reasonably priced. They usually offer 3 different price categories for the VII- so it's easy to pick up a suitable bag.

Hey pagey, what are the differences in the rings? I don't recall from mine, except maybe they were a tad smaller? Just curious. 'Blues

The MKVI has small d-rings and are secured with a smaller area of webbing. I found that this frayed fairly easily. Still nice bags though and I love the original strap - I use one on my briefcase when I'm cycling to work.

That's right, I do recall the MKVI has D-rings, and a clip on type strap. Although I have read that the MKVIs were also kind of all over the map, since so many companies made them,....some came with D-rings, some came with O-rings, etc. Maybe if anyone is interested, you can ask specifically for one with O-rings from Kevin at Endicotts.
