My new Wested Raiders!

Well, I was in a quandry... but with lots of help from fellow fans (esp. KT - thanks mate) and a couple of chats with Peter, I settled on the old dark brown goat for my new Raiders jacket. It just arrived and I'm over the moon with it! Perfect fit, Peter picked out some hides that were a bit thinner and softer - and the result is great! Not as heavy as my old goat from 2003, but the same lovely dark brown colour. Not as stiff and not at all pasticy. Very happy indeed!!! Really dig the Leather Concessionaires label too. Ok some first pics - only 1 hour old. The colour is richer in person. Did I mention, I couldn't be happier??! \/

Just an update. I've had this jacket for several months now and have worn it for a lot of that time. I think it's broken in quite nicely now and gained more character. The best thing is that this goatskin drapes almost as well as lamb, but at the same time it feels as tough as nails. No danger of this ripping on a bush or a rock.

Hi Pagey ..... That certainly is a lovely piece of jacket . The fit looks to be perfect . I've recently ordered from G&B in dark seal goatskin . If it is half as beautiful as yours , I will be more than happy . The wait is killing me . What make fedora is that by the way ?

Yes, I went for the Hero. I've really like the way the hero jackets look that I've seen. My original preference was for the shrunken lamb, but since that hide seems to be indefinitely unavailable, I opted for the regular authentic lamb instead.

You're right, the shrunken lamb IS available again. Damn! I'm pretty sure it wasn't back in stock a little over a week ago when I ordered because I checked. Oh well...still excited about my new Wested either way!
