Hi there!
Can anyone help me please!!!!
I ordered and paid for through Paypal, a Raiders Fedora from Adventurebuilt Hat Co, back in June 2008 and have still not received it!!!
I knew at the time of purchase that there was a delay with the amount of hats being made but three years is just ridiculous!
When i e-mail Steve Delk i never get a reply! Actually tell a lie, i got one once, and he said there were a few in front of me and my one was being made soon, that was about 2 years ago!
Has anyone or is anyone having this experience too? I contacted Paypal and they said they can only do something about it up to a certain amount of days after that there is nothing they can do, and told me to contact the seller directly (Yeah right!!!)
I have e-mailed Steve again today!
Please help or give me advice!

Wait....
Or ask Steve for a full refund (or sell your "spot" in his line up)... The problem with all the hats ordered at that time was that he was swamped by them... He's been slowly working through them, but it's not easy since he has new customers to deal with as well, and the process is never ending in that regard.... You'll be on his list, and you WILL get the hat.. He's not hiding, or stealing from you.. He's a good man, but he IS swamped with the orders taken around the release time of the last Indiana Jones movie.. And you'll have to wait until your order gets dealt with.. Essentially..
Steve doesn't reply to emails since I'd be pretty sure he gets so many that it makes it impossible to do so efficiently WHILE making hats.. He can do one or the other.. Not both.. So emailing is unlikely to elicit much of a response beyond "I'm getting to it" (Which he is... Despite having several hundred ahead of it, I'm sure..)..
So, your options are waiting... Or asking for a refund (Or selling your order position on the bazaar..)..
It IS worth the wait... But there is a HUGE line of orders, not just those of Indy gear heads, and you'll have to be a little more patient I think.. I know that doesn't sweeten the drink any... But it's the truth, Steve never saw the build up coming, and he's doing what he can.... But he can only do what he can.. And that means a long wait.

Thanks for that info...
I did ask for a refund at one stage but got no response, and kept checking my Paypal account but nothing came through. You said he doesn`t check e-mails so i don`t know if he`s seen it or not.
Not sure now if he`s still going to make the hat or going to do the refund, as i have not heard from him.
I`ll just have to wait and see i guess.

If you did not get a refund, then you are still in line for a hat. Also, when you e-mail him make sure your subject line clearly states that you need a reply.
But again, you do not need to worry. You will get your hat.

Yeah...
He WILL come through... You'll just have forgotten about it by the time it arrives... If you do NEED him to reply, as Nick states, make sure the title line is in large print, stands out and says something like "HAT ORDER - JULY 2008 - CHANGE PLEASE" or whatever... Chances are higher he'll pick up on it then.. Regards..

I don`t know guys! It`s been three years now and i`m still getting no reply and still no hat.
Just wondering if anyone else has waited this long or is still waiting and ordered around the same time as me?

Steve recently had a round of cancer... so I would give him a little break. As you can imagine he is under the weather as well right now. You will need to e-mail him again letting him know your name, address, and what hat you ordered.
FYI- I ordered a hat around the same time as you so don't worry.

Nick is correct. He went though a battle with cancer this past year that just became public recently. He is under the weather this past week but sure he'll be up and back at making hats soon. Like Nick stated, send another e-mail reminding him.
