It was announced that Todd had these back in stock, it still comes as out of stock. Did they really go that fast?

It appears so! I checked the day that the announcement went up, and straight away the site was coming up with "Not enough product in stock" Perhaps some people are just greedy, and ordered a load of bags when they don't really need them?! They should be perfectly happy with just 1 ;D

UPDATE: I was just at Todd's site and the bags are up and running now. Maybe it was just a site glitch.

Yeah, went and checked after that last post, and magically they're available ;D Shame the shipping costs ruin the price for international orders though!? Maybe when some decent cash rolls in I'll get one ordered, eh

I'd recommend the "sellers" sections of both this site and the "bovine" equivalents... I picked up a great deal from "Niagarawhips" there, and it may be worth the time spent looking... Although 29 dollars is pretty hard to beat for a new bag.. (Does that include the strap too? If so... WOW!).. And shipping is always harsh... For me too.. Since I'm in Japan and it's off the map for anything with the possible exception of Australian sellers... (I'm lucky with Hatsdirect for example).. Ah well... It's all some kind of illusion that keeps me guessing...(I think, basically, that WHERE-EVER I AM CURRENTLY basically equals HELL FOR SHIPPING... So I should give up hoping for that..) Regards..

Ahh...I see...Well, still not sooooo bad though...I guess...(So, 47 dollars, plus shipping then? Yeah, I guess that's a little much all in all...).. Stargate! Try searching the old Army-Navy shops perhaps? You might be able to source a good deal in there? Then all you'd need would be the strap? Maybe?

"The old army navy shops" are the ones charging £50 a pop!! ;D And as I said, that's a whole lot of cash for a piece of antique textile work, which may fall apart in no time at all due to its age... For the time being, I'll just stick to using the Sahara Indiana bag - it's cheap, cheerful, and tough as nails

you'd be surprised old Military gear was made to last and it does I have a pretty old bag I picked up and its pretty old and is extremely tuff, Though £50 is a lot for just one bag not including the strap

Yeah, but having experience of working with old textiles in a museum setting, I'd hate for a MkVII to fall apart on me like they do if you don't handle them properly! That, and one guy has said he was pulled aside at customs in an airport once, as his genuine MkVII set off sensors, pinging up that there was gunpowder residue on/in it!? Given the generally ridiculous level of anxiety of those kinds of things these days, it wouldn't take much for someone to jump to conclusions, at take extreme action!?
